Eats O Rings causing you to have to waste your time prying them, 3 at a time, out of DeLonghi.

Summary: The thing eats O-rings and DeLonghi service representatives parse them out while under warrantee 3 at a time... so you need to call back, waste 30 minutes on the phone to get them to send you 3 O-rings.... Once it is out of service they will charge you 3.77 plus shipping for an O-ring the size of a pea.. My experience is they have been lenient on providing O rings out of warrantee too but the machine just shouldn't be so much trouble in the first place.
IF YOU BUY, PRAY IT DOESN'T HAVE ISSUES! DELONGHI'S CUSTOMER SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE.

Summary: I was very excited when I purchased my machine just under 2 years ago. However, after just 1 year, I began to have problems with the machine. I would periodically get an error that "Ground is too fine, adjust ground level". I performed the steps Delonghi said to fix the issue and it did not fix it. Finally, after several months of calling Delonghi they had me send it to a service center in Covina, Ca. I waited for weeks and didn't not hear any information on my machine.
Summary: We have had our Gran Dama for over 5 years now and has held up very well under daily use. I use it every day for a double large cup of coffee and on weekends we usually make Cappuccino. First and foremost, I give very high marks coffee output. I used Lavazza super crema beans and get a rich dark brew using the double tall cup setting which gives about a 3/4 fill level to 12 OZ coffee mugs and a nice tan crema floats on the top. The temp is just shy of hot.
Summary: Keep it simple here. The machine makes awesome Americanos, lattes, capuccino, mochas, et al. Fresh beans and fresh brewing are great. When the machine works... Read that again WHEN THE MACHINE WORKS. I have had my DeLonghi for 57 months. During that time it has been broken or in the shop 19 months - yes about 1/3 of the time. And these are big, internal repairs - not something I "broke". The entire display went out. The boiler stopped working.
Wish I could give it a higher score because the concept is great

Summary: I've had my Gran Dama about 4 years now. The lattes it produces aren't as good as my 6 year old Starbucks Barista I bought for $400. I've had to replace the LCD screen when it was 2 years old. Out of warranty of course. There aren't any repair shops in Arizona, so we had to ship it to California. It took 3 months to get it back, parts were on backorder from DeLonghi.

Summary: Bought this product online from Essential Espresso. Arrived not working (water pump does not deliver / circulate any water). Tried online tips, manual, included DVD, etc. Called Essential Espresso and they said call Delonghi. Delonghi rep repated steps I had already tried to prime pump and then said I needed to send it in for warranty repair - would be 2-3 weeks, etc.
Summary: I have had this espresso machine for almost three years. It was a splurge for my family, which is why I'm disappointed to report that owning this machine hasn't been a great experience. The good: The Gran Dama gets its three stars for making good, strong coffee (or weak, if you prefer). Plain espresso, lattes, and cappuccinos are all good. Over the past three years I've eliminated trips to coffee shops completely, and we've recouped the cost of the machine.
Summary: well I do not write reviews so excuse me but I got two duds. This first one the LCD panel was missing lots of elements, so exchanged it. There went really well thanks Amazon. The second one worked for a few weeks and the coffee , tea, and Lattes were great. Then the water stopped working for tea and latte so I sent back. I do believe the second one was a re-manufatured to be fair. So with two duds, I passed on another. Will try someone else's machine.
