Summary: I have been a coffee lover for years, but had always gone to my local coffee shop. I had had one $200 refurbished cheap little espresso maker before, but it did not cut it and broke after a couple months of use.
Summary: This is definitely a well designed machine. It takes about 5 minutes to learn how to use and you'll be off and running with great coffee. We bought this item for our small office and everyone is happy with the results.
Summary: This machine is nice, but I am unsure it is worth more than the price I paid for it (600$).
Pros: Excellent machine: water is very hot, and steam is quite powerful. Very satisfied. It makes excellent coffee.
Cons: Not super easy to use. My wife and my mother-in-law are having problems understanding how this machine works. It is true that the machine complains often (an ambiguous red light pops, saying either "no water", "no coffee" or "empty the trash"). Newegg did lie. When I bought the machine on Novembe...
Pros: Machine is good for the price. paid 609. The reason i got it, was because of the 5 year warranty that newegg said it came with!
Cons: After receiving the machine, and reading the warranty card. it stated that the delonghi 5400 only came with a 2 year warranty. I checked the newegg site and they changed it back to 2 years. I called into newegg the lady was rude and basically told me I was lying. But after reading another review ...
Summary: I bought this machine about 2 weeks ago, having originally purchased the ESAM5500 (I reviewed the 5500 which I returned because the carafe system of providing frothed milk was unacceptable - milk was only lukewarm).
Summary: We bought this after our other Magnifica steam function stopped working. This is a good machine on the whole and produces good quality coffee. The only thing I miss on this when compared to the Magnifica is that this model does not allow you to have options with your milk i.e Steam or froth, this...
Summary: I do love espresso and I've tried hard not to actually buy a machine - they're so expensive! I found this one half price at Curry's and so couldn't resist. I've only had this two days and unfortunately it makes lovely espresso so I'm BUZZING - I must limit my intake!
Summary: A little over priced but it does do everything it sets out to do. the most annoying aspect is the fact it uses so much water when turning on and off for rinsing which soon depletes the storage tank, tip set the on/off timer to max.
