Summary: We bought this machine to replace a similar model. Our previous model was wonderful and lasted us for at least 5 years. We were expecting to obtain a similar product, especially considering the price. Well this machine has been a huge let down. We have had it for a year and have had to send it in for repairs under warranty twice now. First the drip mechanism would fall down and need to be lifted in order to remove the coffee cup.
Summary: While the coffee tastes great, this machine was a total waste of money. My machine stopped making full cups of coffee after about a month. While sometimes pressing the button would give me a cup of coffee, a lot of the time, the beans would be ground but only a centimeter of coffee was produced (this is despite the full-cup settings or any other settings).
Summary: Dealing with Delonghi and their Orlando service center has been a night mare. First, they have very limited service centers. Second, had to send our machine to their Orlando, Florida service center. Returned a month later with the water tank broken. Finally got a replacement, the machine performed worse than before we sent it for repair. Delonghi may make decent equipment but their customer service and repair capabilities are the worst I have ever experienced.
Summary: I purchased this machine about a year ago to replace my still working but aging Seaco. Kind of liked it in the beginning. It wasn't anything special but it got the job done. Frequent de-calcification alerts were annoying and a bit pricey, but I did maintain the machine as recommended by Delonghi. After a year, from time to tiem, the water light would flash. At first, a simple reset was the fix.
Summary: Before you buy online, give it a thought. I unpacked the unit, followed the instructions exactly as told and the unit just won't initialize, instead the red general error light and the two cup green lights are on solid. That combination of lights is not explained in the manual. Called DeLonghi support, did all checks and they still can't tell what's wrong and told me to drive it to one of their service centers where it will be repaired on warranty.
WELL, THE COFFEE IS NOT AS GOOD AS THE SAECO, BUT THE MACHINE IS BETTER.

Summary: We had TOO many Saeco Vienna Deluxes all with assorted problems so we bought this one instead. The coffee setting is SO much more sensitive and so it REALLY matters where you have it on how good your coffee is going to taste. We own a coffee plantation here in Kona, Hawaii; and we drink it all day long. The coffee is good, but still tasted better in the Saeco. And it's the SAME beans so we KNOW that it's the machine making the difference.
Makes good coffee, but quality and service need improvement.

Summary: I bought this machine a little more than two years ago. It's been used lightly, maybe once every two days on average. It's been making great coffee until about 1 months before the 2 year warranty expires when a light start flashing indicating some problems, which stopped the coffee making in the middle, ending up with half cup coffee made.
Summary: ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. Owned one for five years. It started seeping so we replaced it. The new one ran for three months when it began to intermittently make coffee. It would start but quit before filling a cup and lighting the empty tank warning. Sent it back to service center. Came back after thee weeks, scuffed up, and not repaired. Sent it back a month ago or so. Waiting on parts now.
Summary: Our $900 model stopped working during the warranty period. Unlike my experience with Nespresso, which overnights a replacement loaner machine while yours is in the shop, Delonghi sent a shipping box about two weeks after my call. TWO MONTHS after shipping my machine off I called DeLonghi. I was told that customer service did not have any information on my machine, and that someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. True to form, I never received a call back.
Summary: I do not recommend buying this machine. Only 3 months after purchasing it, it started acting up. Now there is no water feeding the coffee maker. Before the water pump was loud (at least more than I would expect). Also, it would only drip when the setting for the coffee strenghth, but the machine could not handle this setting. I tried to clean it with declasifier, changed the settings for grind coursness, and coffee strength levels...
