Pros: I've had this coffee maker for well over 5 years and use it almost daily. I've been a coffee drinker for as long as I can remember and was brought up drinking homemade, true Italian caffe latte's for breakfast. This coffee machine kept me caffeinated through my college years and is still running strong 2 years after graduating. It brews a nice bold cup, though technically not espresso. I've used both espresso grounds (lavazza, lavazza oro, illy, etc.) and more convent...
Cons: Sure, it's TECHNICALLY not espresso, but it comes pretty darn close for the simplicity, and is still fantastic. The rubber seal at the center link did start to leak eventually, but you can buy replacements from DeLonghi for cheap. Also, be mindful of the filter disc, if you're using it. I've thrown one away by accident because I forgot about it when I dumped the grinds into the trashcan. I wish DeLonghi would bring their EMK63 to the U.S., as that has a programmable b...
Summary: Exactly what I wanted! Not for 6 mini cups of expresso, but makes one full mug of regular coffee. Perfect for my morning cup. Old style perc, not drip, so it requires coarser grind. It's a throw back to older times. Saw it on a TV travel show and it doesn't disappoint! Just don't touch it till it cools down!!!
Great coffee and very convenient and user friendly

Summary: Makes great coffee and the convenience of seeing through the top rather than having to go check all the time, priceless. It is a bit slow compared to the stove top version but I'm sure the savings in electricity more than makes up for it.
Summary: My world traveling sister brought her Alicia when she visited made lattes for us. It is simple and easy to use. While it doesn't have a steamer, you can microwave and whip milk for great lattes. Have had minor problems with leaking where the top screws on, but I think it is user error more than design. Great way to have convenient espresso to go.
Pros: I was surprised to find that when coffee grinds are packed tight and the correct amount of water is used, this moka espresso maker produces 4-6 good, strong, somewhat thick cups of espresso right out of the box!. (Typically most machines need to be "broken in" before a decent cup can be brewed)
Cons: The plastic top doesn't feel too sturdy so make sure top tighten from the middle metal area (where the threads are) and not the top of the unit.
Summary: Since I was a kid. My mother would prepare moka on the stove using the same old moka coffee maker that are so popular. Years pass, I move to my own apartment and take with me some of the old moka stove only coffee makers and continue to enjoy a good cup once in a while. In one ocassion I was left with no Propane gas so I had to use electric appliances for cooking but alas, no moka for those sad days.
