Well-built maker with a few minor items to be aware of

Summary: This moka maker is a solid piece of equipment and makes excellent coffee. A couple of things though: in the instruction pamphlet one of the diagrams for making a half-pot indicates placing an adapter disk into the funnel filter. I think the diagram is incorrect. The small extension on the adapter should go downwards to take up space in the funnel filter.
Summary: If you're very, very careful, this will make a decent espresso. My only two complaints are: 1) It would be a lot more portable without the separate base (just have the heating element inside the bottom of the pot); 2) The little strainer that goes on top of the coffee is VERY flimsy. If you don't put in the perfect amount of coffee (not enough), it bends when the top is screwed on. This allows water to bypass it, which makes weak coffee containing lots of grounds.
Summary: Having lived in Key West for many years then moved away..what I could not leave behind was my love for Bustelo coffee. A couple yrs ago I spotted this on line ...bought it and can honestly say prob the best purchase I have ever made...I take it anywhere I travel...i also take a small foamer from Bed, bath and beyond.....there is no substitute for this little elec pot ....and thats all I need ...
Summary: I bought this to use at my office as my old Gaggia espresso machine (of 10 years) had died and wanted to try something different. Have only had for a few days, but the quality of the coffee produced is very good. it is simple to use, and you have great coffee 5 minutes later. Have made both 6 cup and 3 cup capacity with same result. The quality of the machine seems good and I will add to this review once I have used it a while.
Summary: We have had this coffee maker for two years now and it is wonderful! Before purchasing we read the reviews and so have been careful not to push against the plastic handle when opening, and we have had no leaks, no problems at all. We recommend the item to friends regularly.
Summary: It's convenient, since it has an automatic switch off function and I can turn it on and not worry about it getting burnt. The 3 cup/6 cup option is also really nice, but I find myself wondering if I should have just gotten a small stovetop moka for a cheaper price and more suitable for a 3 cup brew.
Summary: I ordered wit this the "Lavazza Caffe Espresso Ground Coffee in 8-Ounce Cans" and the grind looks about right but I think the holes in the filter of this espresso maker are too large as I get a lot of grounds/powder in my cup.
Summary: Used to use a Bialetti stovetop espresso pot. Loved it - but then things got really busy in the morning (we got a puppy) and a couple of times I let it burn down - ruined the pot. Also, before that I had let the coffee boil too many times - which didn't make for great coffee. I love that I can set this the night before - turn it on when things get busy in the morningand don't have to worry about it burning out if I get distracted and forget it's going.
