Excerpt: As an avid coffee drinker, I calculated about how much I was actually spending every day on lattes from my favorite local espresso bar. The price turned out to be over fifty dollars a month. I realized that investing in an at home espresso machine would be a very good idea for saving me a lot of money! I did a lot of research online before purchasing this Delonghi espresso machine, and decided that I would order it. The first time that I used it I was very impressed.
Summary: Some reviewers write about this unit being flimsy and leaking. I have had several espresso makers and, so far, after nearly a year of using it, I consider this as being the best unit. The coffee holder is tight, and if the user is not strong enough and this holder is not rotated sufficiently, then there could be potential leakage. But, that's not the machine's fault. The unit is sturdy, user friendly, an makes excellent espressos.
Summary: after one shot of expresso, the hot water light turns off. Other than that, the machine works great. Good steamer, quite fast to heat up, and easy to clean. Update. After 10 months of 1 cappuccino per day, the steamer stopped working. Up until then, it worked fine. I only use very filtered water, too.

Summary: I am somewhat of an aged coffee drinker, I admit. I have had years where I would go to work and consume maybe 15 6 oz. cups of coffee. Even now, I don't have a problem drinking a triple or quad shot latte. I just have a hard time watching the money flow out of my wallet when I frequent the espresso stands. But I do like a tasty cup of java.
