DeLonghi's 12-cup Coffee Maker DCF212T is uniquely styled for convenient operation. This unit has a clever all-in-one front access door that swings forward, enabling you to add water and coffee grounds, without having to pull the machine out from under a cabinet. Cold water is poured into a molded funnel and channeled into the tank instantly. Filling the tank via this method was quicker and easier than traditional machines, which often require you to lift the carafe much... Read more

  1. Design Flaw in Carafe makes it unusable.

Has some nice features, but with a serious flaw in the design of the carafe. I've owned two of them (I'm a slow learner) in the past ten months and the same problem occurred with each. With regular use, a crack will form at the bottom of the handle causing the carafe to leak and risk breaking when full. The top of the handle is poorly secured, while the bottom is attached to a metal band. The result is increased pressure on the too-thin glass of the lower portion of the... Read more

This coffee maker is the worst coffee maker I have ever owned. There is clearly a design defect which after about 3 weeks of usage allows the coffee which is supposed to drip into the pot to instead drip down onto the heating element and the countertop. The result is a very unpleasant burned smell plus a flood of hot coffee on the countertop. I called customer service, was told since it was under warranty to send them part of the cord and $9.00 and they would send me a... Read more

We have this coffee maker in the student lounge at school. It is convenient to fill both coffee filter and with water but even without the aroma button on, it takes a very long time (longer than students have) to complete a brew cycle. The coffee isn't as hot as other coffee makers I have experience with either. No problem with any leaks. Read more or see product

I recently bought one of these coffee pots and I love it. It brews a great cup of coffee and the front loading feature for the coffee and water is wonderful! Normally coffee pots fit underneath your kitchen counter so to not have to move it out everytime I make a pot of coffee is fantastic. I will never buy a coffee maker that does not have that feature now. Read more

  5. Coffee always leaks onto the hot plate

This coffee maker is not designed well. The coffee actually drips (leaks) onto the hot plate every time you try to make coffee. There's a lever that sits along the back wall where the carafe sits... I believe that it's there to check if the carafe is in place before it allows fluid to drip... unfortunately, it also allows fluid to drip down onto the hot plate. Try another coffee maker...
