Summary: It really leaks and it does make a mess of the counter if you are not very careful. It's worth it for the great espresso and lattes we've made. It really should come with two cups as shown in the photo on the box. I thought it did come with espresso cups. We set the timer for brewed coffee in the morning which is a great feature and enjoy an after dinner or weekend latte or Americana.
Pros: 12cups Would Be Better, Great Taste, Quick Brewing
Cons: Hard To Clean, Leaky, Messy, Needs A 12 Cup Caraffe, Noisy, Small Water Container
Summary: Machine was purchased to replace old coffeemaker. Heavy, well-made, quality machine. Fairly easy to use after reading instruction book several times. Makes espresso, cappuccino, & coffee. Steamer pitcher and espresso cups not included. Makes one or two espressos depending on insert used, but it is difficult to fit two cups under dual spouts.
Summary: So far so good. This is my third DeLonghi coffee maker. I had a regular coffee maker but switched to an espresso/coffee maker with a Cafe Nero. I used it for several years till it started leaking water all over and then finally stopped making espresso altogether. This model is a bit more complicated because of the pump. With this one you have to be careful to let the thing warm up properly, esp. when you are going to steam the milk.
Summary: [...] New machine is working great so far, I love this machine, makes a wonderful espresso, and the steaming wand is seet up beauthifully if you just let it do the work and dont mess around with it.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Great Taste, Large Water Container
Summary: I purchased the appliance on-line[...] I set it up, followed the directions to a tee, and got a great pot of coffee, and the espresso is amazing from a small machine like this. Very rich crema, nice flavor, and the foam is soft and dense. However, a few complaints, the espresso side, the pod holder is VERY hard to use the first few time, you really have to force it. THe steam adjuster is also very hard to turn on.
Summary: I'm an avid coffee drinker with a restaurant past. Right after my old coffee maker quit, DH suggested I spend a bit more than my usual $10 coffeemaker and get something that made espresso/cappuccino as well. After a bit of research, I found this to be the best rated for what it was. It came in and I must say that I am spoiling myself with flavored cappuccinos every night! The only downside is that I have to wait for the water to heat up to make the espresso. So..
Summary: We purchased this coffee maker about a year ago and we were very happy with the coffee it was making until it broke for the first time about 4 months after we purchased it for [$]. Fortunately it was covered by the manufacturer's warranty (have in mind that it's a hassle to deal with Delonghi). We got the machine back working, but we had to stay without home made morning coffee for about two months. Three months later it broke again.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Great Taste, Large Water Container, Quick Brewing
