Summary: Long overdue review of 5 years old but virtually unused espresso maker: very disappointed with this machine after years of using much cheaper, lower-pressured espresso makers quite satisfactorily. This De'Longhi is faffy to fill and clean; it's disturbingly noisy in operation as it stokes up pressure, and it vibrates so much that cups placed to receive the hot coffee invariably move from under the delivery spouts. Cannot imagine how it's got such rave reviews.
Summary: 3 months it lasted! only 3 months!!!! that's bad. After only 2 months, the milk frother stopped working and then the month after the whole machine exploded! somehow, there was a water leak. I didn't even use the machine everyday, only a couple of times a week! I am so disapointed. Never buying this brand again!
Summary: I got this item as a gift and at first I loved it, but within a month it got slow and has been getting slower as time passes on. I know you have to clean the unit and have done many times, with vinegar which produced the best results. The thing I don't like about this item is that it takes 15mins or more to make one cup of coffee. The only good thing on this machine is the froth.
Excerpt: The cup/s vibrate when the machine is working so you have to hold the cup while it operates. You have to wait 30 minutes for the machine to warm up - or - make phantom cups of coffee...the operating manual is terrible t follow...the coffee is okay if you can be bothered with the hastle..other machines that friends have take minutes to warm up. And the noise is deafening from the pump. Wouldnt advise buying.
A basic machine; great foam but watered down espresso

Summary: Pros: Easy to get fabulous, creamy, frothy milk Cons: Watered down coffee, Very little crema, and the machine vibrates so much that the cups move while drawing the shot(it makes a lot of noise as well). Conclusion: This machine will make a fair cup of coffee with lots of noise and vibrations in the process. I'm very particular about my coffee and the perfect milk didn't compensate for the watered down espresso.

Summary: I am an espresso drinker and appreciate good coffee. I have used many machines good and bad. After reading the reviews, I thought I would try this one. What a mistake. The machine produces lukewarm coffee (unless you pre-heat the cup) with NO crema. The cup bounces along the drip tray while filling due to the excessive vibration of the pump, you actually have to stand there holding the cup while the machine spits high pressure liquid near your hand.
Summary: after working well for 6months, it died, trippping the RCD if it was plugged in. Took it to the recomended De'longhi service engineer and 6months later its still there waiting for parts from De'longhi, completely pathetic
