Summary: We have a large household of coffee drinkers with different tastes, making this our preferred method of drinking coffee. Be prepared to use good quality bottled water and be sure to follow the maintenance instructions. This does require water filter changes and 2x yearly a complete "de-scaling." As long as you are prepared to provide good maintenance and pay the cost of the K-Cups (which can get pricey) This is a good machine to have.
Pros: Simple, Convenient way to please the many different coffee drinkers in our household.
Cons: K-Cups can get expensive. Does require some routine maintenance.
Excerpt: I am happy with this unit. Makes a nice cup of coffee, hot and fast and I don't find it noisy at all. Seems more sturdy than my old Keurig. I like the rinse function and hot water button. I especially like that I can use any coffee I want in this unit, unlike the new Keurig 2.0. The only thing I don't like is the message that tells me to open the head, I find that particularly annoying and wish I could get rid of it.
Excerpt: This is my second machine, as the first one lasted 18 months. Followed all directions and then the end occurred . Contacted company to resolve the issue do to descale. Want almost the cost of a new machine to repair.
Summary: After only 4 months of ownership, it's hard to comment on the durability of this machine. But at this point, I love the ability to brew single cups of coffee and not have a whole pot of coffee go bad because we all wake up at different times of the morning. And the only reason I gave it 4 stars is because this thing doesn't make cappucinos!!! But, as I stated in the "pros" section, that may be changing!
Pros: I have owned this machine for about 4 months now and I love it! No problems so far and with 3 adults who all wake up at different times, being able to make individual cups of coffee is great! The machine is very quiet and once turned on, it takes about 30 seconds to a minute for it to be ready for brew. The reservoir is huge and with normal use(2-3 cups a day), needs refill about every 5 days. This also comes with everything you need- coffee scoop, single-cup filter f...
Excerpt: This is an easy-to-use and easy-to-setup product. Build quality seems good. We have owned the product for two weeks, and it has worked flawlessly for us. The coffee quality is very good. I recommend running the initial cleaning cycle twice to eliminate the rubbery taste on the first cup. I recommend this product.
Pros: Brews Quickly, Easy To Set-up, Easy To Use, Large water reservoir, Multiple Cup Sizes
Excerpt: Used many times a day. I love the multiple cup size settings and the programmable auto off. This is esp helpful if you have a user that consistently forgets to turn the machine off. The rinse feature is also nice if you are a tea drinker who doesn't enjoy the flavor of brewed coffee in your cup of tea. The power switch is a bit unusual as it doesn't stay in an "on" position, but flips back to its original position (the manual warns you about this).
Pros: Brews Quickly, Easy To Use, Large Pot, Multiple Settings, Stylish
Excerpt: The tray that the cup sits on quickly shows wear and tear (scratches on the cheap plastic). When I spend good money on a nice item I'd expect it to reflect the Cuisinart Brand. Plastic smell from the unit is noticeable in coffee until you run some water through it with a couple of tablespoons of vinegar.
Pros: Easy To Use, Stylish, Brews Quickly, Multiple Settings
