Summary: We like the design of this machine, not flimsy but rather heavy. It has a nice compartment on the side that holds the cup and screen that you use to make your own coffee. What we don't like is that the coffee taste watery. We've tried different K-cups, brewing at smaller cup sizes but nothing helps. Unfortunately, we are returning it.
Excerpt: Keurig based systems have a problem with the plastic heating tank giving off VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). If you get one, it can cause a strong chemical smell and taste in the water coming form the machine. There is no solution. Vinegar or lemon rinses will not cure the problem. Keuring and Cuisinart refuse to recognized the problem and change the design. Return a stinky machine and hope the replacement doesn't have the problem. Was this review helpful?
Pros: Multiple Settings, Easy To Use, Brews Quickly
Summary: I received this unit for my birthday in April of 2011. It worked great for the first couple of months but now the pump is just about gone in it and I'm lucky to get it to brew a full cup of coffee. I have contacted Cuisinart and I have to send the unit back at my expense plus enclose a cheque in the amount of $10 for return shipping. I would send it back but I can't find a box big enough to fit it.
