Summary: We couldn't figure out why the coffee was so weak. Even using the extra bold k cups, you couldn't use the default 8 oz setting. The largest decent size cup you can get is 6 oz. We returned it for the keurig platinum, which makes good coffee with the same k cups we were using. I think the difference is in the amount of water dispenses. The keurig default is 7.25 oz compared with 8 oz from the cussinart.
Summary: This replaced a Keurig unit that I had for 2 years. This is MUCH quieter and holds more water. However, the k-cup holder on the unit actually punctures the entire top of the k-cup (not just with the needle) and it overflows spilling water and coffee grounds all over the place. I am returning it to get a replacement. Hopefully the next one won't do this.
Summary: It is easy to set up, super easy to use. We have used the K-cups, but also have used the enclosed K-cup reusable filter. I have used the hot water right after making espresso, run a rinse cycle between the two and your water doesn't taste like coffee. It is wonderful. I love it. I can't go back to a regular coffee maker now. I am too spoiled.
Pros: Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Great Taste, Large Water Container, Quick Brewing
Summary: After several lower cost coffee makers, I decided to spend a little more in hopes of getting good, consistent coffee. Although it's only been a couple of weeks, I think I found it. So far, every cup has been very good, very fresh, and very easy! Also, it's great to be able to have a different flavor with each cup.
Summary: Sadly, we are on our second Cuisinart SS700 in a month's time. The pump intermittently stopped working on our first unit. We purchased it online from [...]. We were able to return it to the closest store, no questions asked. Our replacement unit has started doing the same thing. The pump will sound as if it is cycling but the water is not flowing through the unit.
Summary: I've been around the block a few times with these kinds of machines...Keurigs, Tassimos, Grind n Brews, etc. So far, this one looks like a real winner. It is the quietest single-serve brewer I have ever used. It has an extra-large water tank and, get this, all parts of this coffee maker that touch water are BPA-free! The machine is rock solid and feels like a high-quality product. The 3-year warranty is the icing on the cake.
Summary: I have been using a Keurig Platinum Machine for about a year now and had to replace it 2 times. Once for both hot and cold water draining out of the bottom of the unit and the second for making expresso size cups when I asked for the 11.25 oz. cup. I returned the Keurig and got this Brand New Cuisinart about 3 weeks ago. It works great, the water container is larger and the max cup size is 12oz. I get great cups of coffee and the machine works beautifully.
Summary: I purchased the Cuisinart after going through 3 Keurig B70s and a Brevelle since Christmas, (all three were defective with pump problems and very LOUD.) The Brevelle 700 worked okay but had these really annoying flashing lights that flashed all the time "Open Head". The arrow lights were extremely bright and bothersome. So far the Cuisinart SS700 works really well. Very little noise and the pump works just fine. I like the larger water tank and nothing flashes at me!
