Summary: We purchased this particular coffee maker about 2 weeks ago and, so far, we love it! It's quieter than our old Keurig branded machine, and holds almost twice the amount of water. It makes great coffee with the pre-filled Kcups. We haven't used the "My Kcup" with this machine yet, but I have no doubt that we'll enjoy it. Plus it has a hot water button and it refills itself so quickly. I wanted to have an option for using my French Press or for making iced tea.
Excerpt: I've used this machine for about 6 months. It has worked perfectly from day one. I love being able to switch from coffee to tea to hot water with no hassle. It has a fairly large footprint which is made bigger with the drawer-coffee-holder accessory underneath. However, I love the drawer so much the extra size doesn't matter. I wish the coffee Kcups that you buy tasted better. I can make better coffee using my own with the little manually-filled cups.
Summary: So now that my second one has died, I will be returning it to Costco; first one lasted about 11 months, this one only three months. I love the convenience of making a single cup of coffee, the price of pods not really a problem but when it does not work or you have to jump through hoops to get it to yield even partial cup of water, it might not be worth it. I have both the Cuisinart and the Keurig, both have similair issues.
Summary: I've used the original Keurig coffeemaker and this Cusinart K-Cup coffeemaker and both seem to have problems over time and eventually stop working. The Keurig maker had issues with water pump system and just failed to make a cup of coffee. Fortunately with Costco's return policy I've been able to return the maker and get a new one at no-cost (which I've done 3 times now). Recently, my Cusinart maker just won't turn on, so I'm headed to Costco this morning to return it.
Pros: convenient for a single cup of coffee fast adjustable coffee sizes large water reservoir
Cons: stops working after 6-8 months sometimes doesn't fill up the cup k-cup coffee grounds can get expensive
Summary: I have had this machine for about two weeks now and am very satisfied with the consistent quality of the coffee, the features and especially how much money it saves me. My daughter and I use it every day and so I don't have to spend $5+ at Starbucks anymore. We are "pre-poking" the bottom of the k-cups to release the pressure (one user identified this as a way to help prevent pump failure/clogging). As a matter of taste, we have decided Newmans is better than SB's!!
Summary: I had to bring back the Keurig B70 unit TWICE. Finally I decided to try the cuisinart brand. As soon as I took it out of the box, and plugged it in i heard a pop/clicking sound. It seems to make this pop/clicking sound everytime i plug it into the wall, as well as every time i lift the lid, and shut the lid. there is a sec delay when i lift the lid and hear the sound...and then again when i shut the lid and sec later i hear the pop/click sound.
