Buy it, you'll love it!

dsgarner06, Ebay
9 June 2014
  • Summary: What an awesome coffee maker/grinder combination. Love the ability to have a very fresh cup of coffee anytime that I want to program the unit for. The grinder works great, the flavor is amazing and the thermal pot holds heat for a very long time.

The absolute best way to make coffe in the morning!!!

jack638714, Ebay
12 April 2014
  • Summary: I bought one of these when they first came out several years ago. Haven't had any issues with it ever! It has to be cleaned about once a week to keep everything running smoothly. I bought this one to replace the one at home, and I plan on using the other one at work. Had considered a Keurig but it seems like a much bigger expense. The grinder also serves as pretty good alarm clock in the morning!!The carafe keeps coffee hot for hours.

  • Cons: Bean shute could have larger capacity, Paper filters don't work well, thermal caraffe closing mechanism!

It makes coffee, but ...

Stephen Howell, Amazon
6 January 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this coffee maker to replace a grind & brew Cuisinart that I had enjoyed for years, until I accidently broke the glass carafe. After breaking the glass carafe, the metal carafe was appealing. I should have read some of the other review before purchase. The grind & brew with the glass carafe has a warmer built in versus using the metal to maintain the temperature of the coffee. The warmer with the glass carafe keeps the coffee warmer.

Areana 1500, Amazon

  • Summary: Very easy to use right out ofnthe box. Itbdid come with a dvd of instructions but if you have ever used a coffe machine then this is no pro lem to use. It has a "fool" proof beep so if anything is wrong will not let you start coffe.

Great Coffee Maker with burr grind.

AirForce, ABT Electronics
11 December 2013
  • Summary: Burr grind is the best part of this coffee maker. You can select strong, medium or mild to suit your coffee taste. There is nothing better than smelling freshly ground and brewed coffee in the morning.

Coffee Taste and Grinder

Francine Graben "book review", Amazon
6 November 2013
  • Summary: Beautiful coffee maker - however, it uses way to many coffee beans when grinding and does not give me the great coffee taste I had from my prior coffeemaker. I now grind my own beans and use the machine like my prior one and everything taste like normal.

Very Good Product,.But...

edpayne, ABT Electronics
22 October 2013
  • Summary: The biggest problem that I have encountered is unless you shake the coffee maker after in has ground the coffee beans, a portion of the ground coffee gets caught in the passage between the grinder and the ground coffee holder, creating a variation in the coffee strength from one batch to the next. This is the reason for a "4" rating vice a "5".
  • Pros: Brews Quickly, Durable, Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, Large Pot, Multiple Settings, Stylish
  • Cons: Grinder problems, Grinder Problwma, Loud

Excellent grind and brew choice

Tom Kellogg, Amazon
21 October 2013
  • Summary: This is our second DGB-900BC. The first one finally died after over eight years of faithful daily service. If you need a timer actuated, grinder / brew unit, this one is the best value. There are a few others, but they either don't brew a very good cup or they cost a lot more. We use this type of unit primarily because we want fresh hot coffee as soon as we stumble downstairs. The timer makes sure that the machine is done brewing about two minutes before we arrive.

Cuisinart DGB-900BC vs Breville YouBrew

kemorr, Amazon
2 October 2013
  • Summary: Our criteria for a new coffeemaker included a timer, built in burr grinder, stainless carafe to keep the coffee warm but not scorched (wife and I get up at different times). So we had owned the Cuisinart Grind and Brew model DGB 900BC for roughly 7 years before the coffeemaker portion gave out. This is model has all of our requisite features plus a hot plate that preheats the carafe, it has a built in carbon filter for the water too.
