Poor design, spills over counter

SCO "Simon", Amazon
5 September 2010
  • Summary: I purchased this item May 2009 so I have over a years experience. I cannot count the number of times I have vowed never to purchase another Cuisinart product. Looks great, and love the thermal carafe but overall its very poorly designed.

Cuisinart coffeemaker

Gregg W. Whitmer, Amazon
21 April 2010
  • Summary: I really like this coffeemaker. I didn't realize that it doesn't use a "burner" or warming plate to keep the coffee warm. The pot is a thermal carafe that keeps the coffee hot without a burner. It actually works well and doesn't give the coffee a burnt flavor.

Reliable if you are careful

Peter A. Wilhelm "Tax Advisor", Amazon
15 April 2010
  • Summary: This machine works well if you make sure the basket is seated properly, the top is closed completely and the carafe is seated well. I noticed the complaints seemed to be mre likely operator error or defective machines. I gave it a try and am very pleased. Great coffee consistently - if your careful.

best coffee maker I've ever owned

G. Mitter, Amazon
23 March 2010
  • Summary: I have owned a Bunn, and it stopped working, so I bought this and have had it for over a year now and it is awesome, and dependable. I love that the carafe is stainless steel and it keeps the coffee warmer a lot longer than the glass and it taste fresh. I also love that it is programmable.

luke warm coffee

Janice C. Volkman, Amazon
5 March 2010
  • Summary: While the coffee maker works quickly and easily, the brewed coffee does not stay wam, even for thirty minutes. This seems to be a design flaw with the cap. JCV

Good thermal carafe machine, but pay attention to the stop-and-pour feature.

L. Reznicek "reznicek111", Amazon
2 March 2010
  • Summary: This Cuisinart FlavorBrew thermal carafe coffee maker is compact and stylish, and makes a tasty cup that stays hot for hours without additional heating. We like our coffee strong, and this machine's brew tastes best when using 8 cups of water or less.

Wakes you up...but not long enough, Seriously Dissapointed!

Ellen Dawson "seriousb", Amazon
18 February 2010
  • Summary: When the husbands hours got shifted to early, we needed a programmable coffee pot and this works great....the only complaint is the alarm. It beeps when the coffee is done. At 3:30 in the morning, it seems awful loud so I set the programming and it now beeps the same time as the alarm clock is going...

Nice, but not hot

BiffNYC "biffnyc", Amazon
17 February 2010
  • Summary: I really like this coffee maker and the thermal carafe but even when the coffee first brews it is not quite hot enough. I have taken to pre-warming the metal carafe with boiling water to try to get the temp up a bit.

Good home brewer

Linda J. Ponton, Amazon
6 February 2010
  • Summary: Just like my former 12 cup Cuisinart coffee maker, 90% of the time, I love this machine. The only thing is to make sure you have the filter in properly and that you clean it well so grounds don't build up which then means overflow! Does not keep the coffee hot hot for very long, but good enough.

A good machine, but...

Alamo Jim, Amazon
30 January 2010
  • Summary: A good, basic, coffee maker. Easy to clean. Thermos keeps the coffee hot - but not boiling - for our daily breakfast. Two irritants: 1. There is no easy spot to pour water into the tank. You have to pour carefully or you will slop water all over. 2.
