Summary: This is the only coffee maker I found with a stainless steel carafe rather than the typical glass carafe. We have gone through several with the glass carafe, and invariably, someone will break the carafe within the year. Sometimes it is me and sometimes my colleagues. Purchasing a new glass carafe usually has to be done by mail order, since most stores are geared to the 12 cup size.
Summary: DO NOT BUY this product. Cuisinart has made an epic fail. Product could not be used at all: 1) to open lid to put in water & coffee involves holding rest of coffee maker down so it can be unsnapped 2)coffee pot won't fit onto warmer & under top of maker; this is apparently becasuse of "great new feature" allowing you to stop coffee dripping so you can get a cup before brewing is done 3) specially designed top of coffee pot (for the above special feature) needs to be...
Summary: So far, so good. Ive owned this product for about a month and so far, have not had any issues. First, it is the perfect size as I am the only person in my household that drinks coffee, and I usually do not drink over 1 or 2 cups in a day. I really like the stainless steel pot instead of glass because you do not have to worry about it breaking. Also, the auto shut-off feature gives more peace of mind and you do not have to worry about whether or not you turned it off.

Summary: This coffee maker is a perfect example of terrible, thoughtless, and poor design. ...You can't really empty the carafe, since it has a big plastic lip all around the top. ...You can't really fill the reservoir with water using the carafe, anyway, since the reservoir lid gets in the way. ..
