Reliable and still working perfectly two years on

Rachel, Amazon
20 February 2014
  • Summary: Spent hours researching this purchase and couldn't be happier. Two years later the machine is still working and has never once exploded coffee all over the counter, unlike the machine it replaced. Controls are easy to use, thermal carafe keeps coffee hot for several hours, display is not backlit, design makes efficient use of space - all features I was looking for.

great coffee maker!

momto3boys, Amazon
8 February 2014
  • Summary: I have owned a lot of coffee makers. Krups, Mr. Coffee, Hamilton Beach among others. I have spent over a year with a Krups unprogrammable glass carafe coffee maker. So my goal was to find a thermal and programmable maker. And small. The footprint on this coffee maker is small. Fits easily under standard height cabinets. Easy to use. Easy to program. Brews in ten minutes. The coffee stays hot all day. Two hours after it brews, with one cup out it is still steaming hot.

Metal carafes rule. no more scorched coffee, nor burnt hot-plate.

elijah_whirlwind, Ebay
8 July 2013
  • Summary: All-day warm coffee because of the metal carafe. not scorched by the heat-plate, like cheap glass-pot coffee-makers. That's why we bought this Cuisinart. The critiques of the difficult pouring are valid, but the metal carafe works as intended for insulation. We Will keep eyes open for more cheap deals. Metal carafes don't break like the glass ones do.

Nice coffee maker does brew good coffee!

truesmom317, Ebay
7 July 2013
  • Summary: Coffee pot is very nice. The only draw back is we previously had a Barista coffee maker and it was very substantial. This unit is higher quality than most coffee makers, it is just that the handle is lightweight plastic and it is hard to empty the carafe and clean the pot because the opening is very small. Nothing that we can't deal with, but concerned about the durability of some of the parts.

Terrific coffee maker

Sharon, the seasoned coffee drinker, buydig.com
18 June 2013
  • Summary: My old 2002 grind and brew cuisenart started to leak, I bought the white coffee maker, easy to clean, unsure (because of reviews) how difficult the top of the coffee maker would be, found it's a snap to put on and no leakage.. It's uncomplicated and easy to use. Love the water level indicator. Looks great on the counter, blends in with my decor.
  • Pros: Brews Quickly, Durable, Easy To Clean, Easy To Use, It's Very Quiet, Large Pot, Multiple Settings, Stylish

Amazing coffee maker for the price!

coewrasa, Ebay
8 December 2011
  • Summary: I absolutely love this coffee maker. The charcoal filter makes sure you are starting without any outside tastes. The bell that lets you know when the brewing is finished is great. I have been using thermal coffee pots for about ten years and the Cuisinart DCC-1150 is by far the best. The coffee starts out very hot and stays that way for hours. I highly recommend this coffee pot.

Better than Zojirushi so far

munsterlander, Amazon
6 December 2011
  • Summary: Several months ago I read all reviews for thermal carafe type coffee makers. Looked like the Zojirushi was the best bet for the money. A few weeks ago I needed to buy a coffee maker for my office. I had not been super happy with the Zoji so I read and researched again. This time I tried this Cuisinart and am happy with it so far. It is far better than the Zoji at making HOT coffee.
