Summary: I have never had one better than this. I have had it for a while and it is still kicking. I love the self clean feature. Between not having a glass carafe to break and the self clean feature it is what stands this apart from others.
Summary: I previously owned this model and was very pleased with the coffee. The main attraction was the thermos pot which enables one to keep it for a longer period of time without the coffee becoming "stale" or "old".
Summary: This was my second Cuisinart coffee maker for a second location. It works great, and the coffee stays hot for at least 8 hours without preheating the container. Only issue is where the water goes in is quite small, so poor slow and carefully.
Summary: As recommended here I use the 4-cup button for my usual 7- to 8-cups at a time. Pour the coffee into the permanent filter to about 3/4 and press start, then 4 cup. The time sets easy hold down the button a few seconds to engage, release then press away. I never program, but I'm sure it works fine.
Summary: I have owned a lot of coffee makers. Krups, Mr. Coffee, Hamilton Beach among others. I have spent over a year with a Krups unprogrammable glass carafe coffee maker. So my goal was to find a thermal and programmable maker. And small. The footprint on this coffee maker is small.
Excerpt: My husband and I have not been disappointed with this machine. The ease of programming makes this a helpful appliance in our kitchen (we have to get up early every morning and having the coffee start itself makes it possible that we can enjoy it every morning).
