The Cuisinart 10-cup Classic Thermal Programmable Coffee Maker DCC-1150 is engineered to deliver a superior cup of coffee. Designed for convenience, the DCC-1150 dispenses its java into a sturdy heat-retaining brushed stainless steel carafe, which has a brew-through (and pour-through) lid. We tested the carafe and measured its heat retention over a two-hour timeframe. The brew time for this unit was 11 minutes -- a little more than 1 minute per cup. Read more

  1. POORLY DESIGNED

Had this for a month. Gave it a good try. Coffee cools too quickly without a hot plate. On cold days, the carafe cools veryy quickly. The filter has to be removed to fill the water tank. Bubbles in the water tank go into the filling meter, and will not come out unless you remove all the water. Putting the carafe into the coffee maker is a bit difficult. Generally, I can't wait to get rid of this coffee maker and get onw that's useful! Read more

  2. Do NOT buy this coffeemaker

I do not suggest anyone buy this coffeemaker. The reason? Well, where do I begin?? It is difficult to tell how many cups of water you are pouring into the resevoir. The carafe is designed in such a way that it makes it difficult to pour water into the resevoir. The carafe opening is so small that coffee barely trickles into your cup. And, the worst part...the coffee does not brew hot. Read more or see product

I bought this coffeemaker because I always worried about leaving the coffeepot "on" after going to work. this is programmable, it turns off after brewing, and the carafe keeps coffee really warm for several hours, and its even warm when I g ... et home 12 hours later, although I microwave warm it up then usually. I make a big pot, put it into another carafe and take the whole pot of coffee with me to work, I share it with friends. Read more

  6. It's a good coffee pot, but

for the money, I expected something that would last and not have issues one year into ownership. The pot doesn't dribble unless you are trying to pour a fast cup. If you tip it normally it is fine. The burner area where the pot sits is beginning to rust some, and we have to replace the lid to the carafe because a piece broke causing a couple counter-top floods before we realized the cause.
