Summary: This unit replaced a like unit that we liked and used for years (WORE IT OUT- DARN). But,,,, this new unit's coffee basket assembly is very poorly fitted and escaping steam makes a very loud noises while brewing.
Summary: Have to agree with other reviewers here: The Cuisinart DCC-100 is a terrific no frills coffeemaker that is perfect for those who don't want digital clocks, timers, lights, grinders, etc. The problem is that Cuisinart chose to spech the parts to the very low-end - so the unit will not last forever.
Summary: If you just want something to make good coffee without all of the bells & whistles, this is the pot for you. It's a little tricky getting the basket out for cleaning but if you hold your mouth just right... Excellent coffee pot for the price.
Summary: I have had this coffeemaker for several months now. I read all the problems in the reviews and bought it any how. I'm glad I did. The coffee flavor is great. My gold filter works fine and I have no problem because I make sure the grounds basket is firmly closed.
Summary: I looked at numerous coffee makers after many, many yrs of having a Braun. I just wanted a "no frills" machine that did the job and this one is just what I wanted. The only small problem that I notice is that the coffee filter area gets hung up when you slide it back to the brewing position.
