Does EXACTLY What You Want It To Do....And "Less"....!!!

  • Summary: This Bunn My Cafe is simple to operate, once you've read the manual and get familiar with all the features and parts, and will make a hot cup of coffee, tea or water for you, fast...!!!  It requires the minimum of maintenance and, what really impresses me is how solid and well-built it is.  My wife asked me..."why a Bunn" and I just said, "how many Keurigs have you seen in coffee shops"...???
  • Pros: Makes a GREAT Cup of Coffee or Heats HOT Water in a FLASH...!!!
  • Cons: Would Love my favorite Travel Mug to fit without having to remove all the drip trays...!!!

Perfect coffee maker

Mildred, Amazon
24 April 2014
  • Summary: Does it all and quickly. I've used it with Kcups, ground coffee. Made instant oatmeal and tea. It works for everything just as it says. Replaced my Keurig because of having to run water through it every time I change from coffee to tea. Can't think of how they could every make it better. Perfect coffee maker.

Outstanding and versatile coffee maker.

  • Summary: Looking for a coffee maker offering the convenience of the k-cup system, but concerned about the reliability issues many have had with the Kuerig units, I did some research online and found some highly favorable reviews for this device. Once I started using the unit I realized the favorable reviews were well earned. The maker is very flexible, allowing the use not only of k-cups, but also loose coffee and tea, pods or bags, and plain hot water.

Great Single Serve Brewer

RenoMitch, CNET
4 April 2014
  • Summary: The strong setting really makes this unit shine.  If you like a strong cup of coffee and the convenience of K-Cups, this is the unit to get.
  • Pros: Makes an excellent K-Cup but and even better cup using fresh grounds. Best of both worlds.
  • Cons: None after 4 months of daily use

CNET got it right - CR Got It Wrong

  • Summary: Consumer Reports gave the Bunn MCU low scores comparing it to dedicated K-Cup machines. Those machines do K-Cups only, and most only their brands proprietary K-Cups. The MCU brews everything, K-Cups, ground coffee, tea etc. This thing rocks! My daughters use it for tea and hot chocolate, my SO will do ground coffee only, guests use the K-Cups.

No more leaking K-Cups!!!

Stevarn, Amazon
12 March 2014
  • Summary: I FINALLY love this thing. I wanted to like it from the very beginning but as with many reviewers here, I was having a problem with the drawer leaking when I used a K-Cup to make my coffee. This happened about half the time from when I first got it and I almost returned it to Amazon. I'm glad I didn't now because there is a solution. You will notice that some K-Cups are bowed on the top and this inner pressure has to be released prior to dispensing the coffee.

Versatile, 195 degrees, Stainless Tank

Sandra, Amazon
10 March 2014
  • Summary: I bought my mother a Keurig for Christmas in 2012. Every time I go to her house I enjoy trying a different flavor of coffee. Several times I almost purchased one for myself but the fact that I was limited to buying K Cups or refilling the plastic cups held me back. I ran across a comparison review of the My Cafe Single Cup Multi-Use Brewer and knew it was exactly what I had been looking for. I ordered from Amazon on Saturday and received it on Monday.

The best single-server brewer out there!

rhondaleebaby, CNET
5 March 2014
  • Summary: Don't waste your time (or money) on a Keurig. They're more expensive, don't last very long, take longer to brew, and don't brew at the correct temperature (leading to a weaker cup of coffee). You also have to pay extra for the refillable k-cup if you buy a Keurig. Buy the BUNN My Cafe MCU and get a unit that costs less, will last longer, brews faster, and makes a stronger cup.
  • Pros: * Brews k-cups, pods, your own grounds, or just hot water, * Built solid by the largest commercial coffee machine manufacturer, * Brews to the optimal temperature (about 200 degrees), * Brews fast because it pre-heats the water in the reservoir
  • Cons: I can't put my travel mug (too tall) on the stainless steel shelf. I can still fill my mug, but I have to remove the shelf and the black plastic spill bucket first. It's not a big deal, but it doesn't look as classy without the shelf installed.
