Summary: We have been very pleased with our Breville BE920XL. We purchased it about two weeks ago and have used it several times a day since. We find it easy to use and achieve very consistent results. Paired with a Baratza Vario grinder we found it a simple matter to fine-tune the grind, tamp, temperatures, and extraction times to get excellent espresso with rich crema every shot.
Great potential but isn't hitting the target pressure

Summary: I'd like to leave a higher-rated review because the unit seems to work pretty well overall. Just one catch: my unit only ever gets up to 6 bars of pressure, while the target is 9 bar. I've done all the troubleshooting and have contacted Breville support, hopefully this gets sorted and I can come back and give and extra star or two. Don't get me wrong, the results are terrific so far...
Summary: To start, I am a coffee snob. I have been living in Portland, OR for the last 10 years and with all the amazing coffee around it's inevitable to turn into a coffee snob. I was talked into getting my own quality espresso machine by a co-worker and after doing the math of getting a daily coffee at a coffee shop or just having my own machine at home that can pull shots almost as good, I realized the machine would pay for itself in months in terms of the savings ($4/day at...

Summary: I've used this espresso machine for about two months daily and I absolutely love it. The features are phenomenal. I love being able to wake up and have my machine preheated and ready to go. Setting preinfusion time and programming shot times is an absolute breeze. The included tamper and frothing pitcher are a great bonus as well. I'd strongly recommend it!
Summary: Received my espresso machine Oct 15 2014, where to start describing? After reading many many reviews and checking youtube videos, i decided to get this machine...Used my Amex points, so basically i ended up paying less than half, Am i glad i saved all my points for this !!! This machine is awesome and looks amazing next to my Breville smart grinder..this thing is very well thought, i previously had a Krups espresso which worked fine for almost 5 yrs.
Summary: LOOKING FOR THE BATCH CODE for the product registration process??? It is actually the first 4 digits of the serial number. You will not find where to locate this this anywhere in the instructions, on the labels, or even doing a web search. As for the Espresso Machine itself . . . take your time on the set up process and refer more to the instruction manual rather than just the quick set up sheet. I've only had it a few hours, so I'll update as necessary.
Summary: Length:: 0:31 Mins This unit has rave reviews and i have talked to people who love it, but mine, right out of the box, was a leaky disaster! Research is the #1 game when it comes to Espresso machines. Double Boilers vs. Heat Exchangers. No- Burn Steam wands vs. Burn. E61 Brew heads, so on and so forth. This unit is very expensive, but you aren't going to BELIEVE what happened next. 1) Unboxed unit 2) Followed the Quick Start Guide 3) Hit the ON button 4) LEAKS!
Conclusion: "Seriously, I love my dual boiler so much. What can I say? After years of wanting to be able to do latte art on a lesser machine I finally learned/realized you need a professional quality machine to do it, and that's what this is. It's so much fun to make a great espresso drink and to try your hand at latte art. So what if all I can do is a heart shape and a sort-of Rosetta after a year of trying? I get better with each drink I make! And they all taste great!
Conclusion: "I love this machine. I can now make my own decaf iced mochas, cappuccinos, lattes, etc. Previously I had a single boiler machine (another brand). Whenever I wanted to make a drink that included textured milk I had to complete two steps and inevitably the latte would get too cool in the process. With this Breville dual boiler there's no waiting. The frothing wand is plenty long enough, the pressure is controllable, and the espresso shot can be made while frothing.
