Summary: I don't really know how to write the review. To start with I returned it but it wasn't all bad really. It's got a great finish but it wasn't worth the money to me, for quality. To be fair I worked at a coffee shop for 4 years, and drink 3-6 cups of coffee daily, and the machine I worked on cost $30,000, which is just not a fair comparison.
Summary: We would never put another Breville product in our home. IF it does break there is absolute zero change of getting any level of customer service. Best of luck if you buy one.... You are on your own.
Summary: I love this machine and the reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it does not have the grinder. It makes delicious shots beautiful crema and is reliable. I love the programmable feature where I can set it to make my coffee shots the same everytime. Great machine.
Summary: For a refurbished price I got the machine for a little over $150, I had a Saecco, the Starbucks barista machine, it was OK, this machine kicks it in the #@$% Fantastic, steams milk in 20 seconds, fantastic crema, hot product, follow the instructions and you get absolutely as good as a coffee as you can buy ANYWHERE, AND I MEAN ANYWHERE. With Illy coffee, ground fresh in a capresso grinder I now have perfect coffee.
Summary: I was very excited when I received my Breville BES820XL. I looks awsum and produced much better coffee than the Senseo which I was using. Soon the pump began to fail, and was making a lot of noise but no pressure. Pump was replaced and the unit worked fine for about 10 cups and started leaking and had no pressure. My ground fault circuit blew constantly.
Summary: This machine lives up to its claim- 60 seconds from turning the machine on to the perfect cup of espresso. It also makes foaming milk a breeze! I can have the perfect Latte and Espresso easily. The included hard cover coffee table book on the history of coffee and espresso and various espresso drinks was a nice touch. The only improvements I would suggest is to include a milk thermometer for foaming milk and a low water indicator for the water tank.
Summary: Forgive me if the tone of this review is a little grouchy, but I've gone without my morning latte for 3 weeks now, with two more to go, and that's just the way it's going to have to be. I got my first Breville machine, a caffe roma, about a year and a half ago, and was very happy. It was a big upgrade from My Gran Gaggia in terms of design, quality and taste and I wrote a glowing review at the time of my purchase on Epinions.
Summary: We are coffee drinkers. When our 15 year old krups espresso maker died, we needed a new one & we needed it fast. The stovetop espresso just wasn't cutting it. After doing some research, I realized that I didn't want to spend $500 on an espresso maker, and was resigned to buying a cheaper model when I found this one. So far the machine has been flawless, it makes a perfect cup every time.
