Summary: I absolutely, positively love this coffee maker. I agonized for months over spending this much money to replace an appliance that cost $45. What really drew me to this machine were the integrated bean grinder, the ability to brew a single cup without having to use K-cups, and the customization options.
BEST grind and brew coffee maker out there and well worth EVERY penny!

Summary: I have used another major brand of grind and brew coffee maker for a few years.....or I should say I've used several of them from this maker, as the grinder is forever tearing up on it. I went thru 4 under warranty. I finally decided to try this Breville version of grind and brew back in 2012. I have meant to report many times how much I LOVE this coffee maker. Two years later and its running strong and gets used at least two or three times a day.....everyday!
Summary: Great coffee maker. Not as loud as I thought it would be from other reviews, about as loud as a blender. My only complain is it barely fits the 20oz contingo travel mugs. The opening in the bottom could be larger to fix this. I'm not much of a coffee drinker and I started with intense and bold and it hurt my sensitive female childlike stomach. I dialed it back to average on both setting and I couldn't be happier.

Summary: Bought mine in 2014, so the pre-2012 redesign issue is well past. I thought the idea was awesome and I read all the reviews about noise and hot caraf, etc. The noise is like the beach outside the window, love it! Its telling me my coffee is almost ready. The hot caraf? No worries, its hot and if you want hotter, then 10 seconds in the zapper. The controls, ha! If you can figure out your smartphone, this is a snap! But, mine's on eBay already.
What was once the BEST coffee maker...hands down, is now the WORST!

Summary: I bought my first Breville YouBrew 2 years ago and loved it. After time the water stopped being drawn into brewing system (hard water build up in tubing?), so I decided to buy another as it had been a wonderful investment and loved by my whole family. In May of this year I bought it's replacement, the exact same coffee maker. Things have changed! There is a caustic type smell and taste in this one.
Summary: I have owned the Breville coffee machine for a little over a year. We do not gring coffee beans in the grinder however accoring to the manual, the coffee shoot is clogged! The grinder caused the "001" error message when everything stopped working. As we never used the grinder, there was nothing there to be clean out to recover from the error message. The customer service was no help with working thru the revcovery of the coffee maker.
Summary: The first one I received quit working after about a month, and that was very limited use (2 times a week usage). The second one that we received lasted just past the one year warranty and stop working. It was used fairly infrequently...I would have saved money if I didn't purchase this unit and went to Starbucks instead.
