Our first single serve machine, and it's been great...

Summary: Now that we've had this machine for several weeks I'll give it a review. I use it primarily to make coffee, and I use the Tim Horton (regular coffee) discs, and my wife loves her Skinny Cappuccino. I did have a couple of the Tim Horton discs fail at the first attempt at making a cup, but I kept the disc and used it on the second cup I made and it worked. Haven't had to throw away any discs as one reviewer mentioned.
Summary: I received this machine for Christmas from my husband. He did a lot of research in stores for the best single serve coffee maker he could find. He went hands down with this machine. And I couldn't agree more! He initially bought it just because I'm such a huge coffee drinker but now he's as, or even worse, than I am. Why I love it: My first worry was it's size..."omg I hope it fits!"...it's nice and compact, doesn't take way too much space from my counter.
Summary: Why switch from Keurig to Tassimo? Espresso, Cappuccino, Latte, and Cafe Ole. Tassimo does them, and for the most part Keurig does not. Keurig has in fact come out with a new machine called the Rivo but there were two things stopping me from purchasing that one: 1) Milk tank on the side of the Rivo instead of milk pods... I can't be bothered with keeping milk in the fridge and cleaning the tank, 2) Price... Rivo is a lot more expensive.
Summary: I am not much of a coffee drinker, I bought this for my wife. I was initially dead set on a Keurig, after some research it appeared even though Tassimo has a MUCH smaller selection of products, it was a better machine. (By the way I do not believe more is always better anyhow) Fast forward 5 months later we both love the machine. I use it for my Earl Grey tea and she of course for coffee. I have used Keurig machines at work and I agree the coffee is many times weak.
Summary: I have, on the whole, been pleased with this machine but was more than a little disappointed when making a chocolate drink. I had a large cup in place, as is normal, but when I looked the chocolate was flowing all over the place. What happened I know not, but I found it most unpalatable having to clean up chocolate, of all things. Granted there was a little in the cup but I am pleased I had not left the machine unattended.
Well German engineered coffee machine. However let down by the coffee imgradient!

Summary: Basically what the title implies: The machine itself is very well designed - quality build, simple to operate, maintance cycle is long, nearly no dropping of liquid from the nozzle after finish a drink. I just couldn't find any TASSIMO coffee dics that suits my taste after trying a hefty number of them.
Summary: I got this one to replace an older model that had broken down. Not the first one that had done that. But I do like the quality of the drinks it produces as well as the range on offer. Anyway, this model has the Brita filter included. In retrospect, I should have ordered one without as the filter takes up water space in the machine. I've remover the filter now & fill the machine with water I've previously boiled.
