  • Summary: Easy to use. Coffee doesn't get any better than french press. Excellent construction and durability. Although dishwasher safe, I usually clean it by hand, but consider having the option to stick it in the dishwasher an added benefit.
  • Pros: Durable, Stylish

Great coffee maker

cdsmem, Ebay
5 March 2011
  • Summary: I had heard about Bodum French press coffee makers and wanted to get one. I was also looking for a way to make good coffee in my travel trailer. For very little money I was able to invest in a Bodum press. this particular one is in a plastic casing which makes it shatter proof for in the trailer. I have not been disappointed in the coffee flavor at all. I wish the plunger went down a little further to squeeze more water out of the grounds.

GREAT taste'ing COF

minnesota_victor, Ebay
10 February 2011
  • Summary: I have heard about coffee presses for years, but have only drank coffee from a automatic drip coffee makers, or instant coffee. I have always felt like coffee was to weak, or i would have to OVER full the filter pass the norm line to make stronger teaste'ing coffee. ONE warning i have to say about this Bodum YOUNG PRESS, is you may never want to drink coffee any other way, once you go coffee press, you may never go back.

  • Summary: My old drip maker was on its way out so I went with the best taste I've had in restaurants - the French Press. Excellent brew!! I recommend to anyone who loves their coffee...experiment to get your grind and measurements correct and you are set. JR was quick to ship and I will not hesitate to do business with them again.
  • Pros: Great Taste

A few flaws

choirkid, epinions.com
9 January 2010
  • Summary: Great at coffee making, but the design lacks. Go for one of the more classic press pots from the Bodum line.
  • Pros: Classic concept of the press produces excellent coffee; sleeve keeps coffee hotter longer; large capacity
  • Cons: Really hard to clean; difficult to assemble; windows on the outer sleeve lack functionality
