Summary: I have had the press for about three weeks. I was very pleased with it. SO much so that I put away my large counter-top drip coffee maker. Then while making coffee the other day, the mesh screen separated from the plunger as I was pushing it down. I have used presses before and I know how to use them and I was not pushing too hard or too quickly. The problem is the weak plastic piece that screws into the bottom of the metal plunger pole gets stripped or breaks.
Summary: This item turned up damaged. It could have been packaged better, however ultimately the fault lies with the courier. The item was dispatched and delivered before time and the Seller provided me with a refund. From what I saw of the item, it was of good quality and would have been very easy to use. This is why I have left a neutral citation, but top points for customer service.
Lacking description of quality. (or lack of.............Plastic lid)
9 May 2010
Summary: This was a present for the in-laws along with other coffee making equipment. When it arrived I was disappointed that the lid is chromed plastic and not metal like the one I own. In the picture it looked metal and this is one of the reasons it was chosen. This should be stated in the description. We did not have time to order a different one, and returning this would have ended up costing extra in postage.
