Summary: I had a Bodum french press for years, when it finally broke, I went back to the brand. I have since discovered that the quality of the glass has gone really down hill. I've been through 3 beakers in 18 months.
Summary: Received as a Christmas gift, was careful with it (I read the other reviews here when I got it) but the plastic broke today where the lid attaches to the plunger. Since I only brewed coffee with it once or twice a week it only lasted about 20 uses.
Summary: After first use I noticed rusting, so I just cleaned it off. After using it the second time I notice the rusting in two places. Sorry I didnt buy a cheaper version from the supermarket, maybe not much difference in quality.
Summary: This was a great buy and used it continuously for about six months when the glass cracked. No replacement available on Amazon and the manufacture said they don't even make them anymore so could not help.
Summary: This is terrible quality as it has the thinnest glass of any cafetiere I've used and cracked within a few months (despite me being really careful washing it). The lid/plunger also doesn't fit into the beaker smoothly and it is a bit of a faff to get it aligned.
Summary: Very shoddy item. The chrome plated steel that holds the glass to the handle started to rust on the first day it was used. Now the rusting is quite bad and it looks a mess. I was under the impression that Bodum was a decent make but this is worse than the tesco one I've had for years.
