Summary: This is a solidly transparent product. There are reviews of them coming cracked, broken, even shattered, but this didn't happen with mine. All my fears of the glass container breaking have been dispelled. Mine came intact, and the glass is reasonably sturdy. Due to some accidental tests, the glass stands up quite well to bathroom sinks. This is a one cup press. You will only get one cup of coffee out of this press. I'm not sure how many more ways I can say this.
Summary: This is a SINGLE cup of coffee maker. If you want a serious cup of coffee go up to the next size. If you like to make just a single regular sized cup of coffee this one is awesome. Me I have a bigger cup and like to be able to make coffee for more than one person at a time so this one is way way way to small.
Summary: I broke the glass single cup French Press that I had used for approximately 4 years and decided to replace it with the shatter proof model. It works just fine, but the plunger is nowhere nearly as robust as the original. We will see how long that lasts.
Summary: I'm not big into plastics, and I should have known that Shatterproof was not glass . . . but these are things you don't think of. A little to small for those who like a nice cup of Joe. Nice, just wasn't what my mind had envisioned. But a successful gift that has only been used once.
Summary: I love it! It looks great, everyonee compliments on how pretty it is when I use it. I had a bigger french press first, but I'd recommend using one with less capacity like this one to experiment (grind, steep time and such) and refine how you make your coffee so you can translate that knowledge to a bigger press. Remember you should have a grinder and grind your coffee in a coarse setting, the fresher your coffee beans, the better your coffee.
Summary: Makes EXACTLY the perfect amount of coffee for one American sized cup of joe. Sleek "traditional contemporary" design. Bodum is the industry standard for the french press. No issues on quality. Absolutely worth the money.
Summary: Bodum never fails to produce quality products, just beware of what you're buying. 3-4 cups of coffee in France is not the same here. It makes about a mug and a half. I do take it with me when I travel as it's small and I usually have time for only one cup of coffee.
Summary: This was just recently received and put into use immediately. The first time it was used, my wife commented on how well the cup of coffee tasted and she immediately made a second cup. It is great for those drinking only one to two cups!
