Summary: I like this coffee maker so much I thought it worth the hassle of posting to tell you why I like it. While doing my shopping research, I found that many of the reviews only said that the reviewer did or didn't like the item.
Summary: This unit does exactly what it is designed to do - make good coffee. The stainless steel carafe is very solid (that's why I bought it, so it won't break), and has very good thermal insulation. The lid can be put on wrong if you dont't follow the instructions, so it's not fool proof.
Summary: I don't recommend this product at all. I have to put every cup I pour in the microwave first. I think the fact that the lid has been designed to retain liquid, which you can't drain, says a lot about the lack of thought that went into this product by the designers at Black & Decker.
Summary: I bought this as a gift for my mom and dad. they like the option of the Carafe rather than a glass pot, and the one they have been using blew up. So this is the closest to what they had as i could find. The only thing I wished it had was a 10 cup pot. .. everything else is great.
Summary: Makes good coffee, but its a messy coffee maker. No matter what you do it seems to leak coffee from around the top when you pour. I can't tell if its from around the black top or where it is. Its reasonably fast for one of the slow makers.
Summary: We discovered that if you keep air away from your coffee, it tastes good longer and does not get bitter. So when my mother's Corningware Percolator finally went South, we went through a long and unpleasant series of open Mr.Coffee's and similar things disguised as coffeemakers.
Summary: We have whole beans at work which we grind every morning and brew thru a wonderful Bunn coffee maker. My desire for similar quality coffee at home led me to this machine. Following the first brew, my initial impression was that the coffee was very lukewarm and weak.
Summary: Yes, it makes coffee, yes it is a stainless carafe. No, it does not make a superb cup of coffee and it wastes a lot of very exquisite coffee if you try to make a halfways strong cup of anything.
Summary: I bought this as a replacement for an expensive pour over coffee maker that died. Since that was the 4th one that died I was tired of spending that much money on coffee makers. We have a good thermal coffee maker in our RV which doesn't get a lot of use, so I thought the inexpensive Black & Decker...
