Summary: i had one for 4 years and it was still working fine! if it weren't for the paint chipping off on the heat plate, i wouldn't have replaced it for cosmetic reason. the programmable function is great and it works like a scent alarm clock in the morning! the size is perfect for kitchen with limited space.
Summary: I have never been disappointed with a B&D item. This pot replaces a Mr Coffee that had no problems except that 5 cups in it is less than the 5 cups in the B&D.We use mugs and Mr coffee gave us a little over 1 3/4 mugs.
Summary: We been through so many 5-cup makers trying to find a small one that makes good coffee. We liked this one because it has the auto-off feature (sometimes we tend to forget to turn the warmer off), and that it has a permanent filter so we don't have to use paper filters (we don't like the taste that paper filters give to our coffee).
Summary: I wanted my own coffee maker. My Hubby loves strong French and bold coffee, I like decaf and/or medium therefore one of us was having to give up on our coffee enjoyment. I searched Amazon and came across this one and by the reviews ordered it. Two days and it was here today. Cleaned it and ran water thru twice and made my first mug of coffee. Wonderful!! Love that it is programmable and auto shut off.
Summary: Ordered the 'step up' model with timer and auto shut off because reviews on the basic model, with just an on-off button, were so good. This item is VERY poorly made and does not have a brew stop valve. Pretty standard feature on even the cheapest model at Walmart for $10 less. Panel cover for the buttons peeling off right out of the box, and no it wasn't the protective film.
