Summary: Poorly designed machine. There is one very large lid that gives access to coffee basket and water tank. The first time I made coffee and opened lid afterward the machine spit hot water at me. I have replaced this one with a better designed brand at a better price.
Excerpt: This is a great coffeemaker but small output. I drink large mugs of coffee so this model is small for that purpose if I plan on sharing the pot with anyone else. It brews fine ground expresso coffee fantistic and you get the full expresso flavor and no bitter aftertaste.
