Summary: The fact that it is simple, stylish and stainless steel is what originally sold me on this product. Now that I have used the coffee maker, I love it!! Simple to use and delivers a great tasting cup of coffee. Plus, it's steel for all those of you avoiding aluminium products!! What's not to love?
Summary: I already had a stellar 2 cup and it only made half a thimble full of coffee and I'm a greedy ***** so I upped the anti and shelled out on a big mother. This one steams at the middle, makes lousy coffee and is a pain to wash and keep clean. And it still only makes enough coffee for one mug. I've gone back to my bodum. I actually prefer the taste and if it wasnt for the dregs left in yer cup it'd be fantastic. As for the Bialetti... just not for me. Too fiddly all round.
Summary: this is a brilliant coffee maker, so easy and quick to make coffee and easy to clean. And I'm thrilled its in stainless steel and not aluminium. You don't need to spend a fortune to make fabulous coffee. What could be better.
Summary: We had been disatisfied with the coffee from our cafetierre for sometime. Staying with some Italian friends and drinking their coffee made with an Alessi stove-top espresso coffe maker we decided now was the time to change! Our friends, however, advised against the Alessi - the stainless steel model is very expensive (they said not to buy the aluminium models as they can corrode) and the handle gets very hot. Buy a Bialetti they said.
