Summary: We brought one for ourselves which we loved. My Son - In - Law was so impressed with it also and used it every time he came over, so much so, we put one into his Christmas stocking this year so he was over the moon.
Summary: Find it strange that some reviewers had problems with this item, always suspicious of reviewers that either praise to high heavens, or condemn to hell items, but when you look at their "other" reviews you find they haven't written any other reviews!!This is the prime indicator of "false" reviews!! I have had this coffe grinder for about a year now and it's great, no problems at all!
Summary: Possibly more adequate as a spice grinder, this item is not fit for purpose when it comes to coffee. My gripes with this item are fourfold: measly capacity; weak lid; difficult emptying and grind deterioration. It is simply a poor design, and I regret the purchase.
Summary: It does an okay job at grinding but has a serious design fault which is very frustrating for me. You can't wash any part of it except the lid, which when you do it retains water between the chrome part and the see through plastic part at the top. If i was only using it for coffee then it wouldn't bother me so much but my main use is grinding up many different spices.
Summary: This grinder is great and really grinds spices down a treat. I didn't think it would because the blades do not go right to the bottom of the container but I was wrong. I had trouble finding something to grind tiny, weeny mustard seeds and this grinder just zapped them within seconds. Star Annis is a pain to grind in the pestle and mortar - zap, zap and it was done in the grinder.
Summary: I read some reviews that the grinder didn't last very long so was expecting to get a few months out of it at least but didn't expect it to break the first time it broke. The catch that locks the lid shut broke off the first time I closed it without excessive force.
Summary: This is a great product, especially for the price. I use it to grind spices and it does the job brilliantly. The only negative is that it is quite difficult to clean as the grinding bowl cannot be removed and you have to try to get under the blades with a damp cloth. however, this is not a problem for me as it is only used for spices and doesn't need to be cleaned regularly.
Summary: I awaited delivery of my new grinder with all the anticipation of a child at Christmas, took it home, tried it out and yes, it grinds, grinds ok in fact. I want it for grinding spices as I make my own sauces etc. But the second time I used it, a piece of the outer edge of the transparent lid casing broke off. This rendered the grinder unusable as the safety cut out is in the main housing under the lid rim.
