Summary: 1. Sometimes the hopper cover sticks and is very hard to get off. 2. I set it for 6 cups (our usual morning amount) but it ground too much coffee. So I set it for 5 cups, but even then I was never sure how much was being ground, 3. Sometimes during grinding I hear it change to a fast-speed "wrrrrr" like it's not actually grinding anything. I'm never sure just how much ground coffee I'll be getting. 4. Why is there a "max" line on the hopper.
Cons: Inconsistent Grinds, Small Hopper, Unreliable
Summary: We have only used it twice but we are somewhat disappointed that it does not grind all of the coffee beans in the hopper. We have to shake the unit to get them all ground. Unusual for a Krups product. Other than that, good product and would recommend it to a friend.
Summary: This is my first burr grinder and I liked that I can select the desired grind, amount and press one button. It grinds the amount selected uniformly and then automatically shuts off. Much quieter than my bladed mill. Often the coffee bean feed stops and the grinder races away. If you shake the unit the bean feed resumes. At first I thought this was because I put too much coffee in the hopper but it still happened when I put less coffee in.
Pros: Coffee uniformly ground, One button Go auto off, Quiet, Select amount to grind, Select grind desired
Cons: Coffee mess, Deep angular hopper, Feed stops - bridging
Summary: I bought this grinder, as I love my Krups coffee maker. I have had it now over a year and like the end product. However, it is loud and EXTREMELY MESSY. The static build up from the grinding process makes a messy machine even worse. I have coffee gro ... unds all over my counter when I finish making my pot of coffee. The dial measure is also not very accurate and if you put it on a 12 cup coffee level, it will over fill your Krups coffee basket!
