Summary: Everything about this unit is enjoyable. It performs well and allows us to listen most every day as we have our breakfat. It' easy to use in whatever mode we use it .radio, AM or FM and CDs. It' compact and fits well under our kitchen cabinet.
Summary: The reception on this radio is really bad at least in my kitchen. I have had it for several years and the CD is the only thing I use on it because the radio has so much static. I bought it because the dial knob had stopped working on my old radio which I might add never had static on it.
Summary: Pluses - mounts easily, three-CD changer, functions well, includes a remote, has decent sound for a small, inexpensive unit. Cons - poor AM and FM radio reception in an area behind a hill from distant transmitters.
Sony ICF-CDK70 Under Cabinet Kitchen Clock Radio with CD-Changer
Richard J. Ladd, Amazon
23 September 2010
Summary: This unit was purchased as a replacement for another (non-Sony) under cabinet clock radio with similar features. The remote had quit functioning on the old unit and we were never able to pull in any radio stations with it.
Summary: Great radio great sound, but I bought it for the kitchen where I have cubboards and all of the lights and the appiances create static in the reception, so I now have it under my shelf in my bedroom. This is not where I bought is for.
Summary: I replaced my older off brand under cabinet radio / cd player with this sony and the difference is dramatic. The Sony has good sound quality at a high enough level for me to enjoy. The remote features and and 3 disc changer are a big plus. The unit arrived much sooner than expected.
Summary: We had previously purchased an under-the-cabinet radio/cd player but the first week the cd door wouldn't open. I thought I had broken it, but after reading other reviews of the same model, I found out that it was a defect and I didn't break it.
