Summary: The item received was dirty, with little white particles that could be hair follicles or dandruff, or some other disgusting white stuff. It also had a larger brown spot on the controls I couldn't get off that looked like hair dye or something equally disgusting. I nearly threw up at the carnage on top of the machine that was supposed to be "excellent" condition. IT WAS NOT!
Summary: My daughter received this as a gift. I hate this product beacuse every time the power goes out, or the item gets unplugged, the clock and alarms reset to 12:00. How I wish it had a battery backup! Most of my other home electronics have this feature. Sadly, not this one. Keep shopping.
Summary: I have had this alarm clock for 7 years, it just recently stopped working for me because I wore it out. The CD Alarm clock feature lets you choose which track you want to wake up to. I highly recomened it to anyone who hates to get out of bed in the morning because this alarm clock lets you wake up to your favoriate jam. It also has a pretty awesome FM tuner though it is a little hard sometimes to pick up stations.
Summary: It's good and all but after a year of owning it, the first number turns into what resembles the letter J. I have to keep unplugging it several times a day to get it back to normal. Such a hassle. I quit with Sony. They are a brand name and that's it. They no longer mean quality to me.
Summary: I just received this as a Christmas present and I have to say that I'm really happy with it. The alarm is not as obnoxious as a reviewer said it was. The radio gets good reception. I love both the Nap and Sleep features. The cd is great as well. All in all a pretty good product from Sony.
Summary: Clack-clack-clack! That's the sound you'll hear too often when you put a CD in this player. The CD itself seems to sit on the turntable fine, but the part of the lid that rests on the CD is loose and often misaligns. So when you lower the lid and spin up the CD, it clatters. That can't be good for the CD or the player. Each time you open and close the player, that component moves.
Summary: I bought one of these for my daughter's Christmas present last year. She uses the CD player for the alarm, and very rarely to play music in her room. After less than 12 months of gentle use, the CD player only works intermittently. I checked the warranty information after the fact, and SONY only warranties for 90 days, parts up to 6 months. After the 6-month period, you pay for labor to service the product.
