Summary: Great cd-clock radio; we use ours in the nursery. Have not tried the MP3/Audio-in yet. Great for playing music that puts our toddler to bed. I can see many years of use out of it. Wish they still made it in white; only color selection is black.
Pros: Durable, Good Sound Quality, Great Reception, Long Battery Life
Summary: Works fine as an alarm clock, with ability to go to sleep listening to a CD, but sound was worse than I had expected, even for a small unit. There are very few similar products available any more, given the focus on ipod docking systems. The clock/CD/radio it replaced was of a similar size, but had much better sound quality, i.e. bass response, but the radio tuner was not digital. This is rather disappointing for a Sony product.
Summary: This is the follow-on to the Sony Bedside Barrel with CD player in the top. That clock radio of the barrel also brings in TV/Weather stations, something this one should also. Despite this "take-away" most of the barrel features are ncluded and the design is certainly more interesting than the barrel. The time display is easier to see and all the button sre there, one must only memorize their functions, which doesn't take too long.
Pros: Features, Good Sound Quality, Great Reception
Summary: updated version of an old favorite, this Dream Machine meets all requirements for the single student as well as working couple. Very easy to set up-basically just plug it in. the nap timer and back up battery a must and the easy access to the snooze and brightness control button is a feature that's not easily matched. My daughter and her roommate give it a highest rating.
Pros: Good Sound Quality, Great Reception, Many features
