The Sony ICF-C717PJ is a projecting radio clock that displays time, and features an alarm, buzzer, radio, nature sounds, and allows users to listen to their favorite music via a connected music player. It has single/dual alarm with snooze and sleep timer as well. The radio feature on the ICF-C717PJ supports up to 20 FM and up to 10 AM presets. There are five nature sounds to choose from, namely under the sea, waves, mountain brook, rain and birdsong. The radio clock also features a room thermometer and displays information on an LCD display with alarm indicator, date display and backlight with 4-way brightness control. The Sony ICF-C717PJ measures 215 x 60.5 x 58 mm and weighs 0.62 kg.

The Sony ICF-C717PJ is a multi-feature clock radio with projector, and features alarm with nature sounds and room thermometer. The unit supports a variable-angle projector shows time on wall or ceiling, and has an input for digital music player. Designed in a compact brushed aluminum finish, the ICF-C717PJ is the first clock radio from Sony with a built-in projector, beaming a super-sized time display onto any wall or ceiling. The dual alarm clock feature on the Sony ICF-C717PJ also allows users to listen to their favorite radio show with the FM/AM digital tuner, or plug an iPod or any personal music player into the audio jack for their own favorite tunes. Users can choose from a choice of five sounds from the natural world for waking up according to their mood. Other features on the Sony ICF-C717PJ include an LCD display with blue backlight and 4-way brightness control for viewing at any time of day or night; a thermometer that displays ambient temperature and a battery back-up in the instance that there is a power failure so that users still wake up at the right time. The ICF-C717PJ clock radio is available from April 2010.
