Best clock alarm on the market (for the money) hands down!!

Summary: The best Sangean alarm clock that I have owned. I read the previous reviews that mentioned that it is hard to program. The instruction manual is really well written and easy to follow (I am assuming this may be a recent upgrade -- judging from past reviews). It is true that programming this clock is not intuitive like many others -- you will have to read the instructions.
Summary: Hubris. It will get you every time. I read the reviews here for this diabolical clock, but I thought that surely those who claimed they were unable to program the clock were simply stupid. I’m not stupid; I’m really smart. So I ordered the clock in spite of all the negative reviews, blithely assuming that with my Much Larger and Superior Brain I would program the little sucker in a snap. Like I said, hubris. Sheer, dangerous hubris.
Summary: I would buy the RCR-9 again just because I really like the large analog time display with adjustable brightness. I find the design and appearance very attractive looking and a little mid-century modern. The radio sound is very good, although a little boomy with bass. For my purposes it has some definite shortcomings.
The look is cool and the clock is an excellent choice for anyone that works a set schedule.

Summary: My wife loves this clock. It is a little complicated to set up but the time auto sets within a few hours after plugged in and the time zone is set. The clock has two alarms that can be set for a single day, seven days, weekends or weekdays. My Sangean model has settings for each day for those that don't work the same shifts every day or week. I love my clock because it fits my needs as a retail store manager and this clock fits my wife's needs as a office 9-5er.
Summary: Yep, the instruction suck big time. But if you just keep messing around with the buttons and eventually if you leave the radio on one of those stations that display the songs title on the screen on the top of the clock it will suddenly set itself and you will be good. If the radio station is transmitting the correct time. Some don't. NPR is accurate. If you get NPR. Set it to that and push the menu/info button until a crude clock symbol appears.
