Summary: Even though the jack port is too small for any AC adapter I have found, the expectation is using it in an emergency when electricity isn't necessarily available anyway. So, for that purpose, the radio works perfectly while powered by an excellant crank dynamo and also runs nicely on a couple of AA...
Summary: This is a great radio, beyond all my expectations. The sound is unbelievable for such a small radio. I am using it with batteries but the hand crank produces a long period of sound with just a little turning.
Summary: Love this little radio. For the price it is a steal. Am thinking about buying their shower radio too, Can't wait to use this on our outdoor trips. A minute of hand cranking charges radio fo thirty ninutes of air time, Cannot get over the excellent reception, even without extending the antenna.
Summary: This unit is better than any compact am/fm radio I have every used over the last several decades. I have not tried the dynamo but if that works the unit is really a 4.5 star and would be a 5 if it had a weather band.
Summary: I purchased this radio as a gift for my father for Father's day. He is a news junkie, and has carried a radio with him everywhere for years. He previously owned a Grundig AM/FM radio with SW (Shortwave) receiving capability. It was an expensive, but long-lived piece of hardware.
Summary: I recently started putting together a little "survival" kit. Started with basics...iodine tablets, water, water purification tablets, dehydrated food, etc. I was looking thru Emergency equipment and realized I needed a radio.
