Summary: Like my title says... Once you get used to it, you will love it. I used to wake up with headaches and I thought it was because of caffeine addiction (I was wrong). I no longer wake to a headache and I am generally in a better mood in the mornings. I rushed through the directions when I set it up, so I had to go back through them to fine tune and learn more features.
Pros: relieves morning headaches calm way to wake up rather than being startled good choice of sounds to wake to costco has the best price
Cons: learning curve (follow direction booklet) buttons are difficult to find in a hurry light doesn't auto shut off after alarm goes off
Summary: Hi. I have the HF3580 & HF3585 models, so my review is for others whom are interested in the newer models. The Dusk & Dawn simulations do help you get outta bed easier! This lamp is great for ppl who work @ night... This will help you. Creating a circadian rhytme is a good way to minipulate your body to wake up. These models come with 4 sounds (including FM).
Summary: I've been researching therapy lights for years and finally splurged on this one. I ADORE the sunrise sunset feature and the choice of "soft" alarm choices; birds chirping, ocean waves, rainforest, etc. It truly is so much more pleasant to wake up with a sunrise and calming natural sounds. The light serves as a SAD light as well as awesome task lighting. I rarely buy two of anything but I did order a 2nd one for a gift. It's hefty, substantial, and has a snooze function.
Summary: This clock definitely has more features than I imagined it would and it has a very modern look which I really like. It allows me to wake up without feeling so cranky which is the greatest benefit for me :-)
Summary: Definitely "eases" you out of sleep instead of jolting you awake. I am the complete opposite of "morning person" - I have an average of 7 traditional beeping alarms on my phone over the course of an hour an a half to ease me awake, but am always snoozing. The first week with this wake-up light, I noticed a difference right away and felt more awake by the time the noise was at the level I wanted to be awake at.
