This is abolutely the worst alarm clock imaginable

Summary: This is abolutely the worst alarm clock imaginable. I bought two of them to put in my young childrens rooms, but without the manual I never can figure out how to even set the time. They way the buttons work is horrible. This is low quality, chinese made, plastic garbage. In frustration I just threw them away. I will never buy another product from Philips.
Summary: It never worked, even straight out of the box. I'm very mechanically/electronically inclined. None of the buttons responded. I tried following the instructions step by step--nothing. My wife tried as well, unsuccessfully. I'm disappointed, because this clock had all the features I wanted and was so inexpensive. I will be returning-not exchanging-this product. I don't give maybes or second chances to defective merchandise.
Summary: The reception was, at best, filled with static and buzzes. That was when the radio was on a windowsill, away from any other electronic devices. Deeper within the room, there was no reception at all for our chosen station (which we can receive without problem using other radios). I don't know if it's this unit or a bad design, but I'm not willing to try another.
Summary: About a month after having this clock radio, it started producing a low-frequency buzzing sound. I had to move it around to different locations on my night stand to make it stop, but it still happens intermittently. There's also a high-frequency buzz that occurs everytime the radio alarm goes off. I can get rid of the buzz by changing it from radio alarm to radio, but it's annoying that I have to do that. I'd return it now, but it's past the one-month return deadline.
Summary: Ordered this because I was looking for a simple digital clock radio. I had to return it because it came and one of the lights for a part of one of the numbers had already burned out. I could have tried another one, but it just seemed kind of cheaply made, and if it broke that fast, I didn't want to risk buying another one to only find out it would break again
Reliable digital alarm clock - right for the price.

Summary: It's amazing how hard it is to find a simple, reliable digital alarm clock. This one is that. Not over-complicated. Dual alarm for my son who's guaranteed to hit the snooze button. The small buttons are a little finnicky, and the increase in radio volume over the duration of the alarm time is a bit jarring, but then you need something to wake you up. Given the other options out there (larger, more expensive, with no better features) this is about perfect.
