Summary: So I bought this cause I needed a simple alarm clock as backup to my phone alarm. It gets the job done, its loud enough and the music is basic for what I would need. Numbers are clear to see no problems and its easy to function. Your probably asking what the one star is for. It has failed me in a big way. The clock froze at 11:19am. It sat like that for two days. Good thing it didn't freeze over the middle of the night and failed to wake me on a work day.
Summary: This is the cheapest clock radio I've ever seen! Even the power cord isn't the traditional power cord - it's only slightly bigger than the antenna wire. The clock part works ok. But no matter what I did I couldn't get sound to come out. Some radio! I couldn't even get static. I followed the directions for tuning in a station and it does scan for stations. It stopped at appropriate radio station numbers but no sound.
Summary: This clock radio works fine as a radio and clock--but it disappoints as an alarm clock. The volume buttons do double duty to set the alarm time and turn off the alarm as well as change the volume. Plus it's sometimes difficult to see the indicators for AM/PM or Alarm Set. We have had sudden alarms going off at the wrong times (evening vs.
Summary: The sound and tuning work well. The light on the display isn't too bright - it's very easy to see, but it doesn't light up the room like a nightlight, which I very much appreciate. There is a compartment for batteries to keep it working in the event of a power outage. However, it's pretty apparent that the item is very cheaply made.
Summary: Very good alarm clock. The volume for the radio alarm is kind of low and I can't make it louder. Luckily, I'm a light sleeper but for others this might be a problem. There's also a strange wire hanging out of it and I can't figure out what it's for. That may be my issue and not the product. It's very light and small so it won't take up a lot of room. It's a great price.
