Summary: I like it, but the male connector is too short and requires a Case Adapter for iPhone 6 Plus and all Lightning Accessories; Female Lightning to Male Lightning Case Adapter that Passes Full Functionality.

Summary: Like others have stated yes you do have to take the phone out of the case in order to attach it to the docking station however, I was having to do that before with my other docking station so this is a non issue for me. The product has a small footprint for my nightstand and I am very happy with my purchase. I have now had this for a couple of months and I have had no issues with the docking station. I would definitely buy this again.
Was fine for the first 6 months - then it quit charging my iPhone 5s...

Summary: Bought this back in August 2014 and 6 months later, it stopped charging my phone. I was happy with this purchase up until 2 days ago, when it just stopped charging for no apparent reason. I tried plugging my phone into the USB charging cord in the back and that is an extremely slow charging process - not worth the wait! Other slightly annoying feature - the backlight on the clock is extremely bright.
Summary: I wanted a bedside clock that I could use to charge my iPhone 6 Plus. I also wanted to be able to connect my phone without having to remove the case. I have yet to find a clock radio with an iPhone dock that will allow you to dock the phone without removing all or part of the case. This clock is no exception. However it does have a good workaround. That is the USB port on the back.
Summary: I bought this in January of 2013 as a Christmas gift return deal. So I've been using it for 10 months now. If you use the USB in the back for your phone, and try to listen to the radio, no mas. Any keystroke on the phone will override the FM radio and shut it off and switch it to USB mode. The lightning port on top will not work with the Otter Box commuter case.
Summary: Pros: - great sound out of this small unit. - the USB port in the back is a great feature. - controls are nice Cons: - the brightness settings are almost useless. There are three: extremely bright, extremely dim, and dim to the point it can't be seen. - the lightning port at the top can't be used unless you take your device out of its case.
Summary: I bought this on a gamble that it might work with my iPhone 6. It does indeed work but I do not use a case. I use Invisishield so If you use a case there might be an issue. Then again, the iPhone 6 is thinner so maybe there's more of a chance it will work. Now, I love everything about this clock EXCEPT... Setting the time and Alarm. Granted you don't have to mess with the time because it syncs with the iPhone.
Summary: Awesome! I love this thing, even better than the newer version of this iHome product, mostly because this includes an USB outlet in the back of this device, while the newer iPL8B doesn't, so keep that in mind. Really bright display and charges my phone well.
Summary: My husband and I bought a previous iHome clock radio/charger a few years ago that turned out to be less than stellar. It was annoying to use and set, required the app, and only worked about half the time. So I was skeptical about this model but decided to give it a shot, hoping that they'd learned and improved in the years since. They did. First things first: about the issue of cased phones not fitting.
Summary: Bought for my wife for Mother's Day. She wanted a dock for her iPhone 5 as her old dock was the other type of connector. Came as described and she loves it. Sound is quality and it securely holds the phone.
