Poor ergonomics and stopped charging in less than a year

Summary: I purchased this when I upgraded my iPhone to a 5S and needed Lightning chargers. Out of the box, the function of the buttons didn't seem to make sense. It wasn't the "so simple you wouldn't need to read the manual" operation I expect from my electronics. When I realized that there is no 7-5-2 option so I'd have to manually turn my alarms off on Friday night and on again Sunday night. That made me just use the alarms on my phone instead of the radio.
Summary: Bought for my wife for Mother's Day. She wanted a dock for her iPhone 5 as her old dock was the other type of connector. Came as described and she loves it. Sound is quality and it securely holds the phone.
Summary: This item would be great I have one that I loved from 6 months ago so when I saw it at Amazon I was excited to have a second one for the family room so everyone in household could us or but it did not work. Could not get the display to work, it mad a loud hum in noise. Returning to Amazon they are very easy to deal with fir returns.
Summary: After my iH16 decided that buttons were for chumps and stopped responding to button presses, I decided to pick up the iPL10. At $70, it was quite a jump from the $40 iH16. I assumed that the price jump meant better quality and ease of use. Externally, this was correct. The iPL10 is a nice looking alarm clock. The mesh that extends all the way around the alarm clock gives it a nice texture and feel.
Summary: Great dock for my small nightstand. Love the dual charging ability so I can charge my iPhone and my iPad overnight. I did see in other reviews the complaints about being able to use the dock when you have a case on the iPhone. I do have an Otter Box on my iPhone, so I ordered a simple dock extender for $6. Cheap solution and I can use the docking station with the iPhone case on.
Summary: The clock seems to work great, but I have a problem with the dock. My wife and I both have an iPhone 5, and we have two different cases. Neither of them fit on the dock. If you have a phone with a case and don't want to have to pop it out every time, the case has to not only have the connector open, but also have nothing else remotely close to the connector area. Essentially, the entire bottom of the phone would have to be open.
Summary: For this price you're not going to get a Bose quality sound dock so for anyone complaining about the quality it's silly. For the price, it provides everything I need. I love that there is an extra USB port in the back so you can dock your iPhone and charge other devices at the same time. When you have a device plugged in your text tones, ring tones, etc.
