Not as good at its predecessor

  • Summary: I have owned the Eton 300 Mini for more than 5 years now and because is was getting a little dog-eared, decided to buy the M400 to replace it. However . . . In comparison, I find the following: In the looks department, the new M400 slightly has the edge, but I doubt the matt black finish though very smart will prove to be as durable as the 300 Mini. The sound quality of the M400 is well down on that of the 300 and is somewhat tinny.

  • Summary: This little analogue radio is intended as a portable device, and for the price it does the job very well. I have experienced no relevant frequency drifting in SW, and none in FM/MW. This receiver is aimed at picking strong signals in SW, so one cannot expect it to receive far stations; however, it does its job very well. The speaker is small, so one cannot expect much from it; I used it mostly to listen to news at low volume - otherwise I used earphones (not provided).

  • Summary: I bought this little radio for general listening whilst walking and working. It's perfect for popping in a pocket due to it's slim size and light weight. The display is large and clear and the unit is very simple to use. It has a minimalistic appearance yet is very functional. The sound quality is very good considering how slim the unit is. There are a few minor negatives...

  • Summary: The radio was not good value, the digital screen failed after a few weeks and battery life was very limited.
