Summary: The description states that it has a 3.5mm jack for connecting mp3/cd players. But that is incorrect, the jack is for connecting a set of headphones, so it is output, not input. The rest is correct. CD Player works, but cd spins very loudly, can be heard through the music playing even at half volume. There is a quiet buzz from the LED lights from the display. The radio works just fine. Overall, it's OK for the price, not a great deal by any means, but not a bad deal.
Keep the box, you might need it to return the clock.

Summary: I bought this unit because it does look good in pics, but after holding it I realized it is another cheap plastic clock. My LCD just fell down inside the unit, the buttons are very hard to press, you really have to press hard to get the buttons to operate. In my opinion it has too many buttons, whoever said that it was easy to operate at night might refer to the CD buttons, because for everything else I am sure you will need to turn on the light and get the manual.
Summary: You have to be wide awake with the lights in to use this alarm click. The 2 alarm set buttons and the sleep button are clustered in an oval that is just a tiny bit larger than a fingerprint. It's very easy to press the sleep button accidentally, but hard to find the button that turns it off. Additionally, the button to set the hour is over the minute display and visa-versa. It is not in any way an intuitive machine to use.
Summary: Product box was roughed up and stereo out of headphone jack took some jiggling to get it to work, and once it did, it only worked when volume was at a certain level. Once the volume threshhold is reached it works fine. But we didn't pay for only partial stereo.
Summary: My CDRA147 arrived within a week of the order.... It worked for about three weeks. Now the buttons controlling time and alarm setting don't work. I turn the power off and the time works, I turn the power on and the thing blinks.... it will cost me almost as much to ship it back for replacement so I am stuck with a CD Player/Radio with terrible sound (thin/tinny/squeaky) that doesn't work as a clock.
Summary: Read the reviews for this radio and they were mixed. It just happened that our product worked the first day and after that, NOTHING. Just FYI...Coby doesn't get super reviews on their under cabinet TVs either. The seller was GREAT and gave refund on our shipment back without the box! Amazon is still by far the best online shopping!
Summary: I bought this so I could wake up to a CD playing. The only problem is that you can't random select the songs so every morning you hear the first song on the CD. The sound isn't that good either, but for the price what did I expect. If you want to wake up to the radio it is not bad at all.
Summary: I ordered two COBY Clock radios with stereo CD feature: 1 for myself and one as a gift for my husband for our 27th wedding anniversary. I was delighted to find exactly what I wanted at Amazon because all I could find elsewhere were for I-pods and I-Pads. My husband is 81 and I am 78, so we need something for the recordings we each cherish. I ordered them in March and they came on time. I hid them because our anniversary wasn't until April 4th.
Summary: We have purchased this because all we needed was a CD alarm, I was not too concerned with sound quality or advanced features. We got it and after playing one time, the play button no longer worked. We got it replaced and the new one did not work either. I looked at the reviews and it seems other people are having the same issue... STAY AWAY, not worth the trouble.
Summary: this alarm clock is better than I expected from the reviews I didn't think it would be a great purchase but I just bought it. it functions great the buttons are a bit hard to press the cd is super loud and the radio and other than the buttons being hard to press it's a great product and i am satisfied .
