ZTE Skate Review: In Depth

20 January 2012
  • Conclusion: The ZTE Skate is a frustrating device, not just for the slow performance or general cheap feel, but because it’s priced far too high. Part of the reason why the San Francisco was so successful is because it hit a great price point for the features on offer. If you want an unlocked Skate you have to cough up around £215, which doesn’t make any sense whatsoever when the Orange Monte Carlo, the exact same device save for ROM branding, only costs £119.
  • Pros: Decent screen, Improved build quality over Blade/San Francisco
  • Cons: Expensive, Sluggish performance, Poor battery life

ZTE Skate Acqua pictures and hands-on

Pocket Lint
29 February 2012
  • Excerpt: Chinese company ZTE unveiled around 52 new handsets* over in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress, the first steps in fulfilling its ambitions for global domination. Devices such as the flagship Tegra 3 boasting ZTE Era and its quad-core Ice Cream Sandwich tablets obviously stole the headlines, but we couldn't help but be charmed by a lower end handset that we saw flaunting its wares at the company's MWC booth – the ZTE Skate Acqua.

ZTE Skate Kis pictures and hands-on

Pocket Lint
29 February 2012
  • Excerpt: Over in Barcelona at Mobile World Congress, Chinese manufacturer ZTE unleashed a barrage of new smartphones and tablets; a signal of its clear intention to take its business model global. The company - which grew by 50 per cent in 2011 and achieved a 400 per cent increase in smartphone shipments - has made some pretty big noises about its Era Tegra 3 device at the show but, if you're looking for the best looking smartphone of the ZTE bunch, look no further than the ZTE...
