Summary: I Read negative and positive comments on the beginning, so my reaction was neutral. Because it's not my 1st phone with android, I know that operating system is not a perfect, after upgrading to new version, phone is working good (no problems with sending /reciving msg and calling) , so be aware !
Summary: This phone seemed fine to begin with, the dual sim function worked well. But the problems started soon after. First a black line on the screen, then it lost several photos I'd taken with it, then it wouldn't find networks unless you rebooted it (actually quite dangerous in an emergency, and deeply...
Summary: Good: lovely concept, android at a budget and touch screen & dual SIM (Heaven????) Bad: budget android Ugly: first phone switched itself off. Amazon promptly replaced it with another. But replacement phone's part of touch screen (part where one selects sim1 or sim2 option BEFORE making phone calls!
Summary: I've been very disappointed by my experience of the Viewsonic V350 dual SIM 'phone, not because of any issues with it's functionality or features, but because, in the space of just two months, I've had two handsets which have both developed the same fault.
Summary: I'm very happy with the phone, Android is new to me and that seems to be good also. Had to send original back with no quibbles to Amazon because it simply wouldn't switch On. Of course all my data was on it and now presumably available to Viewsonic. Nothing important but it's worrying.
Summary: If u make & receive a lot of phone calls, don't buy this phone. This was the first dual sim Android that was google certified, so some of us din't have much choice, if we wanted to bring all contacts & Calendar via Google with minimum of fuss. When it works, it works well.
Summary: Have upgraded the operating system from Android 2.2 to 2.3 (Gingerbread). The instructions on this are available on the Viewsonic Europe web site under support. I would certainly recommend doing this as the phone looks and feels much better and it seems to have improved the battery life.
Summary: I have the VS7 tablet and find it to be a decent piece of kit so I thought having the dual sim phone would be a good idea. I was wrong. I don't know who these people are that write decent reviews but they must work for Viewsonic! because this item is far from ready for distribution!
