Verizon Wireless and Nokia releases the Nokia 2705 (Shade™), a compact flip phone that fits in a pocket or purse and provides users with connectivity on the go. Available as an online exclusive initially, users can purchase the phone with or without a camera. The Nokia 2705 also allows the users to have the ability to choose the color of their choice with Xpress-on™ covers which is sold separately. The Nokia 2705 with camera is available beginning Oct. 6 at $29.99 with a new two-year customer agreement. The Xpress-on changeable covers is available in blue, red and purple for $19.99.

Features

The Verizon Nokia 2705 comes with the locator application VZ NavigatorSM which gives users access to more than 15 million points of interest. The mobile phone is compatible with Xpress-on changeable covers (sold separately) which allows users to change the look of their mobile phone. Other features on the phone includes a phonebook that stores up to 1,000 contacts, text, picture and voice messaging capabilities, up to 300 minutes of usage time or up to 360 hours of standby time, a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth® compatible with support for the following Bluetooth profiles: headset, hands-free, phonebook access, basic printing, and object push (for vCard and vCalendar), micro USB 2.0 compatible and Mobile Web that give users access to the Internet on the phone. A purchase of the Nokia 2705 (Shade) in purple color with a camera online during Domestic Violence Awareness Month will also include free picture frame phone lanyard and a purple Nokia Xpress-on Cover while supplies last. The Nokia Shade features pre-loaded wallpapers that highlight HopeLine®, Verizon Wireless’ phone recycling and reuse program.
