Great Keyboard, poor followup to Danger Hiptop/Sidekick series
5 September 2013
Summary: This was my first Android device and my last in the fabled Sidekick series by T-Mobile. For what it's worth, the 5-row QWERTY keyboard is probably the only thing that was worth it on this device. With touch screens being the norm these days, you'll be hard pressed to find a phone made with such an accurate/durable feature. Typing on it was a dream. The only downside is that it lacked the option for special characters depending on what you might be typing.
Summary: i have been a sidekick lover for years and i recently bought the sidekick 4g to see what the whole mess was about, people rating it worked poorly froze a lot and would shut off for no reason, and that was all true ........ i couldn't stay on the internet for a few minutes at a time because my phone would freeze and it would restart.. i do NOT recommend this phone!!!!!!!
Summary: When I saw the phone on your website it stated that the phone was brand new. The phone came in a box that was not the original sidekick box; no instruction manuals were enclosed and the phone had visible scratches as well as a the black tape that is near the battery area, it was all twisted and old. The lens for camera was filled with dust. I am disappointed because I have bought things in the past from Amazon and was pleased with those purchases.
Summary: honestly, it wouldnt be a bad phone, if it didnt freeze all the time. it just freezes and i have to take the battery out, i had it for a day and i set it down on the counter and the screen cracked. i would definantly NOT recomend this phone.
Summary: This phone was great when I first got it, but it slowly lost value and started causing problems for me after about a year of use. I don't have too many apps on the phone and I don't use it heavily, but it slowed down so much and started freezing and declining phone calls randomly. It also shuts down randomly and sometimes freezes when I get call therefore not allowing me to answer the call.
Pros: Built-in speakers
Cons: Poor quality, Not high def, Too big, Did not meet expectations, problems arise after 1 years of use, freezes, declines calls, shuts down randomly.
Summary: We had 2 of these phones, both suffered the same problems. They had too little ram and too many samsung & t-mobile non-removable apps. They were always running out of memory, freezing the phone for 10-15 seconds when switching apps or trying to make a call. The touch screens often became unresponsive, so you couldnt do anything but use the trackball to point and click to what you wanted.
Pros: Great keyboard, fast Internet, charges quickly, very durable
Cons: Randomly freezes and restarts itself, sometimes the touch screen won't work but the buttons will, the web will freeze until you restart the phone instead of closing the program, frequently have to resend text messages, deletes contacts
Summary: It has its good and bad things. Most of the bad has to do with performance. Mine can't run for 30 minutes without slowing down and completly freezing. I have to pull the battery out of it like 3 times a day. The phone has a mind of its own. Itll click stuff on its own, scroll through stuff, go back to the home screen when you try making a call or text. The amount of dust that gets under the screen to is bad.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Realistic color
