Excerpt: Initially, the phone is excellent. I had chose this phone with the audio jack over the normal myTouch 3G for the sheer fact of being able to listen to music with headphones in, however, battery life does not seem to last long. As a phone, battery life is just fine, but once you start using applications, 3G/WiFi network, or install another 'desktop' (such as ADW), the life of the battery drains down surprisingly fast. Less than a day between full charges.
Pros: 3.5 MM headphone jack, Display, Home, Menu, Back, Search, trackball buttons, Android 2.1 OS, Up to 16GB miniSD Input, Loud, clear speakerphone
Cons: RAM, processor, Android 2.1 OS, Battery life, Less multimedia-friendly than suspected
Excerpt: I have had an issue with the MMS- picture messaging since I recieved the phone. I have been dealing with this through tmobile for a month now. They stated that the update would fix the issue. I have recieved 2 new phones with the update and the issue is still occuring. Their ability to help their customers is non existant. I have sprnt over 40 hours on the phone with them trying to resolve this issue. If you are thinking of getting this phone......don't.
Pros: love the android functions, The slide keyboard is helpful
Cons: Heavy, MMS does not work, THe phone resets to "normal" sound settings on its own
Summary: My husband would probably give this product a 2-3 star rating, but I think it is a solid 3. I have had this phone a little less than a week and I'll be honest, I'm not in love. It does what I need it to do, but it does occasionally turn itself off and back on again. I think majority of the problems that i do experience with the phone are because of connection issues.
Excerpt: It is slow phone. Sometimes it takes forever to get back to Home screen. And the Home screen crashes often. I do like the phone and Android OS, I just with it is faster. I sort of understand it is first generation of Android phone, but I wish it is faster.
Pros: Like the phone and apps. Like the Android OS in general
Summary: I use T Mobile (had a Samsung T919 Behold) replaced twice in 6 months because of phone problems then stepped up to a new myTouch 3G Android. WHY DON'T SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS LET NON-TECHY PEOPLE TEST PHONES BEFORE THEY MASS PRODUCE THEM???????????????????? Or at least make a thorough list of all the features any one phone should provide before production! They seem to be as sad as politicians!
Excerpt: LOVED it at first but now it's starting to freeze & go ridiculously slow. I've done as suggested & removed & re-installed programs that may be the culperate, it didn't work. I've added task killer to kill all programs that were running in the back, it didn't work. I just hope i'm never in a life or death situation where i need to dial 911 cause it takes forever just to be able to open up my dialer.
Pros: It's small & sleek, the features are great i do love all the apps
Cons: it's sloooooow. it drives me crazy, but thats the only real issue i have with it at the moment
Excerpt: THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE WORST PHONE EVER! i AM FINALLY GETTING A NEW DEVICE! i HATE THIS PHONE FOR IT HAS SCREWED UP!! i HAD TO FACTORY RESET FROM RECOVERY IMAGE 10 TIMES! DONT EVEN THINK BOUT GETTING THIS PHONE! ITS A WASTE OF MONEY! I have gone threw so many of these phones and I couldnt take it anymore... Android has a lot of cleaning up to do... I mean it froze so bad that i could bearly recieve or send a call... EVERYTHING force closes!!! I mean even a CALL!!!
Excerpt: Great looks and nice tactile screen if not a little iffy around he edges... email support is very unpredictable if not disaterously broken. Over the course of my 2 week trial It randomly deleted emails, constantly remarked all emails as unread, wouldnt open even the body of the emails when they contained attatchments, let alone the attatchments themselves...
Pros: Screen, form factor, browsing, apps. Best as a media device with limited connective pros
Cons: Email all but useless, very bad speaker and voice dialer, battery is a bit weak... not so hot as a phone... Coming from an older blackberry curve I expected alot more in way of basics for this new "advanced" phone.
