Excerpt: I have bought this phone, after 3 week the sim card reader broke, after inserting and removing the sim card only 2 times. I have send it for repair, Sony refused to repair it, and also added that the motherboard have been flooded. What a crappy customer service, there is one thing not repairing a device, but to return in a worse state that top it all. And of course the merchant Rogers, cant do nothing.

Summary: I am left angry and disappointed. I am generally a very cautious shopper, especially on the internet. I have researched thoroughly for my next phone and opted for the Sony z1. When I checked on Amazon, I found a product described as 'Sony Expedia Z1 UK Sim free smartphone ', at a generous £430. The product had Amazon's 'prime' and 'fulfilled by Amazon ' label. I also checked the seller ' Qbit distribution' feedback page and it had a 98 % positive feedback.
Summary: Almost immediately after buying this phone I noticed the software bug, where every time I plug in the hand-set to be charged it erases the customisations I have made to handset for my personal use. While plugged in it then flashes an advertisement encouraging potential customers to buy an Xperia Z1. But of course, I do not need to be convinced every time I plug it in to purchase my own handset!!!
Excerpt: Had this phone for two weeks now and had nothing but problems. I stop reviewing forums now because I am so sick of them. Everyone experienced the same issues but SONY has not fixed any of them. Overall the phone works as it suppose to but the signal for both wi fi and phone are poor at best. I am inside my house the lte signal will be gone and when my wi fi is in the next room the signal will be gone. I knew I should have stuck with iphone. this z1 is a piece of crap.
Excerpt: I have this phone for 3 weeks now and was really impressed with it. From last week it started shutting down and I called Rogers and they guided me through the reboot process. This was fine and the phone started switching off once daily. I deleted all the apps and reset the phone to factory status and now the phone switches off after every 10 minutes. Spoke to at least 10 people at Rogers today and best they can do is replace it with a refurbished phone.
Excerpt: I upgraded to this phone only to find out that the screen keeps turning off and I have to reset the phone a few times just to turn it back on. The bluetooth when connected to my car listening to music always cut's off and makes a "ding " sound. The signal is at one bar and picture quality has a white hue to it. I tried another one but ti does the same thing. I really like this phone but my second try at it just puts me off from getting it.
